HI all , i am getting a bit concerned about the amount of people that now chose to sub ohm big clouds in public. Three of the bars in my little town have now banned e cigs due to members of the public complaining about a few cloud caseing lads.
We have all come a long way to get our vapeing habit accepted , it would be a great shame if more vapers chose to cloud chase on the street as the trend seems to be going that way, it could lead to an all out public ban.
what are peoples views on this?

It's happening whether people blow clouds in public or not... unfortunately. The gubmint is losing too much money due to vaping and state legislatures around the country are slowly banning vaping where smoking is banned.

How does prohibiting vaping where smoking is prohibited increase revenue? Can people smoke where they can't vape?...

I have been allowed to openly vape in five star restaurants and lounges with other vapers at my table with no problem and no complaints from other guests. I always ask first of course. Occasionally other guests will inquire optimistically or simply just say "Good for you for quitting cigarettes", or "Say, that really smells nice. Tell me more about that, I want to quit smoking". Sometimes after a couple more martinis we will pass our PV's around if there is interest. Are we sub-ohming? Hell no! I would expect to be thrown out for cloud chasing in any establishment, and I expect the rules in the establishments I mentioned to change immediately if these knuckleheads keep walking in blowing massive clouds. I have been at several outdoor concerts this summer where there were a couple cloud chasers escorted out while the rest of us were vaping away contentedly with no notice. Common sense people..

There are clouds and there are CLOUDS. As long as your cloud is, well, yours...in your personal space...that's should be fine. When you infringe on others, whether it's vaping, or any other activity, that's not fine. I'm a vaper, but with my vapor, not yours.

I'm inclined to agree with this opinion.

I don't vape in public where I didn't previously smoke. I may be strange but I don't enjoy being exposed to other vapers' clouds much like I didn't enjoy standing in other smokers' fumes. As vapers, we need to appreciate and embrace the fact that non-vapers have no interest in standing in a cloud of whatever stuff we are emitting. There is no inherent "right" bestowed upon us to expose other people to our emissions. Be respectful and we all benefit.

There is a time and a place for everything vaping is not an acception, i usaly carry a few mods with me and one is usaly a cloud chucker, how ever rarely do i use it in public, unless someone might ask then i go ninja and chuck a smoke bomb lol, but for the most part simple little cloud is enough.

The problem being common sense isn't.

Here in the states we are already seeing vaping lumped in with the smoking bans in a growing number of public spaces. Some privately owned places (restaurants/stores/bars/malls) imposed bans long before any government regulation largely in my experience due to customer complaints of clouds, if it goes the same way there as it has been here it is only the beginning of the bans you will experience.

If I get the itch, I turn down my mod and close an airhole or two and, sure flavor isn't as great but it bothers nobody and I get my nic fix, that's why I like the versatility of regulated mods, If I have a only a mech/rda (which pretty much doesn't happen anymore)I'll usually go outside because it's set up for big clouds.

I remember I asked in my local bar if I could vape. Bar tender said I could. So I did. I ended up clouding the room with an STM by accident when I was black out but my friends took my mod away I think. I'll admit that was dumb. But I wouldn't cloud chase in there and I don't smoke in regular restaurants or stores. Anywhere you can't smoke I don't. You used to be able to smoke in bars so that's why I asked. It's not too hard to walk outside tho. Anywhere I can't vape I just started using snus.

This reads: you want to stop some people from doing what they want in public, so that other people don't try to stop you from doing what you want in public.

Most bars here are very welcoming of vapes. And the other customers don't care either. Most are actually fascinated.

It was very crowded bar that night and my friends didn't want me to be that ....... If anything they were looking out for me. I could cloud up the lights over the pool table with a few pulls. Like I said. It's all courtesy. Luckily I'm not horribly addicted. Idk what status you guys are at. No judgment held. I mean if I go a day or two without nic now I might be a little on edge but nothing dire

Those people who blow those HUGE clouds are doing a lot more than sub ohm vaping. Everything is geared to produce HUGE clouds including using 100% VG juice to make their clouds bigger. I'm feeling to Sub Ohm itself is getting a negative stigma when it shouldn't be. I'm a sub ohm vaper myself although as low as I've comfortably done it is .25 ohms. Anything under 1.0 is a Sub ohm from .9 to.1 .just because I perfer to Sub Ohm vape DOES NOT MEAN I blow giant clouds into people's faces. Yes I enjoy a decent cloud when I vape but there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between say the competition cloud blowing and a regular Sub Ohm vape. I felt I need to make that very clear. people tend to throw around the term Sub Ohm and they are relating it to people who are like the competition cloud blowers. They are giving the impression that by sub ohm vaping ,in public, your blowing these HUGE distracting and rude clouds. THAT IS NOT TRUE WHAT SO EVER!! It is very much a stero type. Not all Sub Ohm vapers are the HUGE CLOUD CHASERS that everyone's complaining about. You can Sub Ohm vape in public with a decent cloud and still be considerate and others are NOT bothered AT ALL. just so you understand most of the huge clouds chasers have to actually WORKS to get clouds that big. also most are younger and they are not being considerate, but it's NOT because of simply Sub Ohm vaping. I personally am after FLAVOR and a warmer vape. Those HUGE cloud chasers have made a bit of a contest of it. I'm NOT saying that's "wrong" either. people SHOULD ALWAYS be considerate to the people around them. That said cloud chasing is more of a vaping style and although they do Sub Ohm, it does NOT MEAN by Sub Ohm vaping your clouds will look like theres. Believe me, they work pretty hard to get those kinds of clouds. so please try not to associate Sub Ohm vaping with being inconsiderate towards other people with huge clouds in there faces. it's simply NOT TRUE.
