I would be shocked if it were a 7v lipo! That would be great... But I believe when it's fully charge it reads 4.2.?

Well, at the same time 'if you wrap your own coils it definitely doesn't hurt to try it and see the results. But the op didn't state a concern of battery life though.

Heat up time will likely be his concern. Lighter gauge will heat faster.

LOL! Good point! Can you tell how long it's been since I've used my MVP?

While i wasn't specifically asking about it, battery life is indeed one of my concerns. when i moved from single coils to dual coils, the flavor difference was phenomenal. however, battery life suffered significantly. I've managed to upgrade my batteries to compensate (1300, 1600, and now 2600 mah's), but now I'm just trying to be more efficient. From the sound of things, I'd be better served to get a higher resistance dual coil. Looks like the newer Kanger enclosed models only go to 1.8. I know the older, exposed-wick style went to 2.0 (my two Aerotanks came with them). I'm thinking i might want to ask around and see if any of my local shops carry the older model.

on a fun note, i've found that if i take my Genitank with a 1.5 enclosed dual coil, set the MVP to 8 watts, and open the airholes all the way, i can actually lung hit this thing.

Lung hitting is great. Once I started I never went back to mouth to lung. The first couple times hits you but then you get used to it.

Your best step is to get into rebuilding my friend. That way you can tailor the specific coil you want.

Subohm is for mechs primarily. You have to go lower with a fixed battery. And the heavier gauge you use the lower you have to go to heat it up. With a vv/vw mod you can adjust the wattage and get similar results. In your case your limited to 11w and 3 amps so higher ohm works best with your device. If your building your own different gauges are usually involved.

There is a side factor. If all the coils from kanger are say 34g then a 1.5 will get hotter at 11w because it's less wraps of the same gauge... So there are a lot of different factors involved... I might have spoke a little off since we are only dealing with factory coils and not different gauges. A heavier gauge wire will take more power to heat...

What you want most is a coil that gets you the heat you want without overrunning your mod.

A dual coil will run it down faster no matter what and you don't have quite enough power to push a dual at 2.3 ohms at a good temperature due to the higher wraps resulting in more wire to heat.. A single coil 2.3 will heat well and extend the life.

A dual is too much mass of wire for your device so actually the 1.5 will get hotter for you in your situation; if that's what your looking for.

Hope it makes sense.
