Yeah after I'd read a bit before I posted I wasn't as worried. You see so much from people telling you not to be stupid and all of a sudden 4.2 seemed higher and panic. Haha!
You can never be too cautious when it comes to battery safety. So by all means when it comes to battery safety there are no stupid questions. But you are right in the aspect that if your mod is showing over 4.2 volts on your wattage then you are probably vaping it too hott and are at risk at burning your wick or your juice.
Steam engine has a wattage adjuster you can utilize on the right hand side one you put in the specs of your build... called Heat flux.... I usually adjust that number to get the mW/mm^2 right at 200. That is usually the preferred sweet spot of the build. If your vaping at wattages higher than that then you are at risk of burnt/dry hits.
I know it would help the flavor.... adding the extra wire would increase surface area...which is your flavor producer....also it will allow you to go higher in wattage which again will allow you to get a warmer vape and more flavor.
I dont reaally know of an easy way without a drill other than by hand. The main concern is getting the end leads tight enough to trap under the screw... But 2 strands of your 26ga twisted....6 wraps at 2.5inner diameter...will net you a .5 ohm coil... and your vape should significantly improve. Probably by 25%.
Managed to twist the wire with a big cup and and some pliers. I couldn't fit six wraps in the RBA without it being bent out of shape so took it to 5 wraps, which initially came out at 0.3. Which worried me, but I fired it to make sure it was glowing properly and tightened the connections and it's currently at 0.5.
It's getting reallllly hot, spitting an awful lot and it seems to be needing a hell of a lot more power.
Any suggestions? Or is this ok?
If it is spitting try to lower the coil closer to the air hole If you can. As low to the deck as you can without it touching. That should fix your spitting issues and yes it should take more power... Around 40 watts to get a fantastic vape.
Just put a dab of banana custard in with the other juice (it's a cream based blueberry) and wow! Banana is the dominant flavour! I can only imagine what it would be like with just that in!
Excellent I hope this solves your problem and vastly improved your vaping experience.... And hey you learned a new coil building technique in the process.
