Subscriptions x email timers

I've noticed that if we can't visit the forum for a length of time, our thread subcriptions x email will stop arriving.
Is there a way to extend the timer?
Sometimes all I have is my phone (long winter months), and my phone has terrible/spotty 3G. I generally receive emails okay, and like to keep abreast of the threads I've subscribed to, like Legislation etc, but when I can't visit the forum or the threads on the pc, the emails stop arriving.

what I suspect your problem here is : The forum wont send emails constantly about threads that have had replies. This is to keep from spamming folks that are subscribed to high volume threads. Have you considered trying the android app or tapatalk to pop in and check your subscriptions from time to time? This would "reset" your email notifications as well as give you quick access to the threads you are following.

That's a good idea, and yes, I did that last winter, but I couldn't visit every subscribed thread. My 3G sucks. Even now, even after visiting the Legislature forum and not receiving updates, I had to unsubscribe and resubscribe to hopefully fix that. The Legislature forum email died on me because I've been living in a few other threads lately and run out of time.
Thanks for the tip though. Please keep the tips coming, maybe one will work. Or, maybe I'll just have to keep a record going of which ones I need to jump to whenever the 3G kicks in nice. (it's like a dang car's turn signal here)
