Sine noone answered i'll just go ahead. Just made my first twisted micro coil with 28g kanthal over 2.5mm screwdriver. 5/6 wraps 0.8 ohms. Burned nicely from the inside. I used too much cotton and taste was muted. Rewicked with less and the flavour and vapor is so much better than the standard 0.5 ohm coil that was on the rda.
vaping at 23.5 watts.

If you'd look in the Subtank Mini Builds thread you would see that probably half if not more of the STM users here seem to use twisted coil builds.

I was using twisted for a week or so, very similar to yours but 2mm diameter (28gauge at around 7ohms)... Then I decided to go back to a normal single coil and I noticed the vapor production was more or less equal and the twisted kanthal gave me warmer hits than I care for (when compared to a single coil at the same resistance/wattage used).

Right now I'm using an attempt at making a tensioned micro coil using a drill. 1.4 ohms and at 20 watts it's hitting dang near perfect for my taste.
