Not sure then. I can usually run 70/30 just fine. You may have your wick a little tight. You could try thinking the wick a little and wicking like you would a kayfun (slightly longer tails, pressed up to the build deck). 95 percent of the time, any dry hits I've gotten were due to wicking. At least it's cheap, so it doesn't hurt to play around with it
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

It seems to be doing alright now... but after running my coil specs through steam engine, I see my coil has a very high heat flux. Maybe too high for what I'm wanting. I'll play was some thicker Kanal and see where that gets me.

I've been using 24 gauge for the most part.... Except my last build, it's 26 gauge twisted

Mini. Idk the vg, it's boosted juice and cuttwood juices mostly
Boosted? Caffeine?
A drill. Tighten the wires in the bit chucks, hold the other end with pliers
I did this. Worked ok for a while today then I got intermittent atomizer short msg on my mod so I took it out. I went back and looked at your pics. Only real difference wasmy legs were on top, your legs where under-if that makes sense... Do you think that could cause a short? No part of the coil touched the deck...

The top of your coil could have been touching the chimney, or the coil could be expanding as it heats up just enough to touch part of the deck.

Yea, my last twisted rba build was 32ga. And my occ coils were built with 28ga

What advantages do the twisted builds have in the subtank mini rbas now? I get the more coil in contact with wick, so does that mean more vapor production? But wouldn't you achieve the same with a standard build with more wraps with the same ID?

First time rebuilding my ST mini.

30 gauge twisted
1.1 Ohms
16 watts
KGD wick

Maybe a slight improvement in flavor over the prebuilt coil that came in it. Next time I rewick I'll see if I can squeeze that gap out of the far right coil. It was firing fine from the center out so I just left it.

You get the higher surface area without increasing the ohms as much as more wraps would do

12/11, 26g Nichrome60, 3mmID, 1.4 ohm, Wicked with KGD. Pretorched coil then then fired and squeezed mounted in head...As big of clouds as any of my RDAs, and incredible flavor.

Holy mother of SURFACE AREA!

In the OCC too? I might have to try this...

I just build my first twisted coil for my mini. Used 28 g kanthal twisted on drill until the end broke loose. Counted 10 ridges and measured half a mm. 9 wraps on 3/32 bit on coil jig. Came out 1.0 ohms. Can definitely take longer hits with a significant amount of more vapor but dayumm I need to drop my 10mg nic down to who knows but I felt like throwing up lol. Did around 7 seconds drags without the drip tip getting hot. Not to shabby and especially for my first try.

OK haven't posted in a long time.... With that said I just got the aubmini yesterday and have been trying to look up builds for it... I didn't like the 24ga I had for rdas but thanks to this I tryed it and its great .5 ohm great vapor and airflow is great. I had a .8 dubble macro bulid in it worked great but choked the airflow down. So I wouldn't go with a dual set up. Maybe ultra macro but seems the single works
