FINALLY got my batch of NF in today.

After experimenting, found that 3x butterscotch at 35% is the clone I was looking for (you know exactly what I am talking about).

vaping now on a batch of butter rum at 20%... it is overwhelming, even stronger than butterscotch... I am ok with this.

Haven't made a true vape yet but the bavarian cream sample was AMAZING... very rich with unique and strong flavor. Sampled at 20%. Plan on making a solo batch and also mixing with many other things. Don't think there is diacetyl in this one.

We will see what steeping does to these. I am dry-burning my carto of butter rum lake mad... hypothesis is that I need to let the juice sit uncapped long enough for some alcohol to evaporate; either the thinness of the alcohol changes drawing property or the alcohol evaporates much more quickly than typical bases, or both. Still delicious.

Will be purchasing these three in larger quantities, worth every penny and the absurd wait & shipping cost.

I got it from them directly, naturesflavors.com... shipping was like $14 and it took them a week and a half to get it out the door, but it was worth it; I got the "for coffee and tea" flavorings. A 1 oz bottle is $7-10 but you can get 4oz for like $14... they are definitely geared for bulk sales. There are a few DIY shops that sell NF in smaller quantities, but none (that I found) offer the butterscotch or similar flavors, probably because of the diacetyl.

Apparently NF officially wants nothing to do with e-cigs, so they won't answer any e-cig related questions and they won't tell you anything about what is in the flavorings. I heard about the NF/CoV connection on this site and went out on a limb hoping it was correct, and indeed it was.

As an aside, I did ponder for a bit whether to post this... it is essentially a thread outing a vendor's hot-selling flavor, or something very close to it at least. I know the same thing has been written here numerous times, but (until now) it wasn't by me. Don't get me wrong, I am not a moralist: I would have no problem sharing KFC's secret herb & spice blend if I knew it, and I would surely enjoy getting KFC chicken for a much lower cost. Does the community have a standard view towards recipe cloning? Would the CoV guy care? Most people wouldn't go to the trouble of DIY'ing CoV butterscotch when they can just buy it premade, but hypothetically I or someone else could read this thread and then start selling the juice; a cheap Chinese-style knockoff as it were.

I seriously doubt that having another good Butterscotch out there would effect any e-juice manufacturer. Besides, the odds of anyone discovering the exact formula for anyone's Butterscotch is between slim and none. There are just too many variables. It's like discovering the exact blend of KFC spices to use your example. I am looking for a decent Butterscotch, so I will try to find the ingredients for this. Thanks

Could you tell us the exact link that they bought? They have a lot of different butterscotchs on the site, and 2 that say for coffee and tea. Did you get the regular for coffee and tea, or the 3x for coffee and tea?

It's funny that they're so anti vaping yet they say this:

"This Organic Flavoring System can also be used to flavor any type of water soluble liquid. All of our Certified Organic Coffee and Tea Flavors are all natural, Kosher, Vegan, Gluten Free, and contain NO Allergens! Natures Flavours Organic Coffee and Tea Flavoring Systems are water soluble, in addition they will mix into Glycerin, and Propylene Glycol solutions even better than our Organic Flavor Extracts."

Well I ordered 30mL of the NF butterscotch flavoring from High Desert Vapes. I assume the flavor is probably very similar, if not the exact same as the for tea and coffee version, it just seems to be more concentrated, with 5-8% being recommended by a reviewer. I will post my results, you can bet that as soon as it comes in I will have a nice batch mixed up, and I also have another 30mL bottle of CoV Butterscotch on the way to compare results.

When I buy the NF flavors, I evap most of the alcohol off before mixing my juice. I order directly from NF, and yes you want to buy the coffee and tea flavorings. If you sign up for their newsletter you will see when they have free shipping and that's when I order.

Pour the flavoring in a shallow bowl and nuke it for about 30 seconds. Let it cool at room temp, then rebottle it. You will notice that your bottle is about 1/3rd less than it was prior to nuking. Evaping the alcohol will give you a richer flavor with far less "burn" on your throat :)

And yes, these flavors are organic and natural, meaning that flavors that are rich and creamy, or buttery will have trace amounts of diacetyl in them. Natures Flavors confirmed that in an email inquiry from me almost 2 years ago, when I first fell in love with Bruce's Caramel Cream (CoV).

With the CPN Butterscotch, I couldn't vape it right away. I just let it steep with the cap off in a warm place for a couple days and a lot of the alcohol seemed to evaporate pretty quickly. It went from almost unvapable to "OMG!!!!*$(@$*27*&$@" in like 2 days of cap off steeping. I had been told to do this and i'm glad I did. I didn't want all the alcohol to evaporate though because it is 100% VG and I still wanted a workable viscosity.

I am super excited for both my butterscotch flavoring and my CoV CPN coming in. I will do extensive experimentation and report my findings for anybody that would rather order from High Desert Vapes and have their order sent out immediately rather than wait a week and a half. Plus I also think it's more likely more concentrated since it's general flavoring, rather than the tea and coffee flavoring which I would assume would be less concentrated. I am just guessing. They could be equally strong, or the coffee and tea version may be twice as strong as the regular for all I know, I really have no idea.

Edit: For long term use, yes it probably would be better to order from the source, I mean strictly for those who want to try it for the first time.

NF has free shipping until midnight tonight. I just ordered the Butterscotch 3X and some Caramel Cream. Can't wait to try them. Hard to find them on the NF website though, someone else found this link, it is:

Organic Flavors for coffee beans

I ordered the ones that said for "coffee and tea flavoring system".
Does anyone know if these are VG, or PG or what?

Well since I am here anyway and the batch I started this thread on is gone, I will provide updates:

-IMO butter rum is far superior to butterscotch 3x; very potent and delicious at 20% whereas the butterscotch doesn't pack half the flavor even at 50%. Butterscotch seems to be severely dulled in my cartos, while it is extra delicious in the vivi nova, and vice-versa.

-As far as creating a CoV tribute, I settled on butter rum at 20%, with a little vanilla bean ice cream (TFA) to round it out. It has to steep for about a week and, oddly, I need to put a few rounds through the tank before it hits peak flavor... whereas most juices start strong in a new carto and steadily decrease as it ages, this one works best in the carto mid-life stage. IDK.

-Ran into trouble with the alcohol base: I mix everything at 85PG, so my remaining base at that time was already premixed to hit that mark... the alcohol was so thin that any flavoring above about 22% would flood like CRAZY. I managed to cobble up a 30ml that was about 30VG, and was able to get flavoring up to 33%. Still floods a little but not unusable. When I re-up on bases I am going to try doing all VG/flavor and seeing what I can end up with.

-NF bavarian cream is CRAZY; it is delicious but will overpower everything in the world even with like 5 drops. That 1oz bottle could effectively flavor an oil drum of juice.
