For those interested... Here is a link discussing the latest research

I definitely went through withdrawal when quitting analogs, despite using my e-cig with 18mg e-liquid. So this makes sense to me:

"Six puffs every 5 minutes would deliver the same dose of nicotine delivered by shallow inhaling from one tobacco cigarette every hour". That means 72 puffs of an electronic will give a user the same amount of nicotine as they would get from shallow inhaling one cigarette. He used 16mg e-liquid in his tests

Research appears to be showing that we only absorb about 10% as much nicotine as with death sticks, and a few people here in the forum have done nicotine blood level testing which shows how low their nicotine levels really are.

Which is a good thing, as most of us are trying to quit.

If blowing vape covers up the fact we are getting by with lower nic levels, it will make it even easier to get of nicotine for good in the end.

I smoked for about a month after committing to ecigs. I went from a pack to 5, then to 2 or 3 and finally 1. Then one day I realized around 11pm I had not smoked all day. The transition was very smooth. I used 24mg. Now I don't really notice a difference between 24 or 12. It's there but not like the difference between a light and a non-filtered cig.
