I'm a noob and I haven't tried my hand at DIY yet. I'm in the gathering info stage. So while I was at BlahBlah-mart today i ventured into the sweeteners section and notice that sucralose is the sweetener used in Splenda. There is even a liquid form offered. If i remember correctly the ingredients included water, malic acid, sucralose. So I wonder. Can these be used as a DIY sweetener instead of the sweetener offered on DIY sites (also sucralose) or maybe using the power forms and add distilled water?
I'm not trying to save money with this query, rather finding local access to the items I will need.

Thanks
Happy Vapping

The liquid for you found, if used, will always have the acid. Which isn't a bad thing, but I like adding acids when they are needed instead of every time I want a bit of sweetness.

Might this be a tank cracking acid? I'm thinking about using some Splenda this weekend myself; to tide me over till I need enough 'stuff' to justify an online order including some EM.

I'd have no idea. Never have, nor wanted to, used a polycarb tank. Seems a completely silly material to use for a tank.

(But none of the manufacturers asked me to do the product development and from my 10+ years doing product development I know that some manager or bean counter is as likely to pick a different material regardless of what was spec'ed out because they like the name or the price better than what was in the spec. Ahhh, takes me back to the days where I spent weeks trying to explain to the uppity-ups why wrapping wire around metal was not the same as welding the metal and what that meant for the ground shield...)

I'm sure there are some polycarb tank users on here that would have some experience...
