Sudden Flavor Loss eGo T system?

Hi ECF,

I've been using my eGo T system about 5 days now and I am loving the convenience. Up until yesterday it was also giving me great flavor and vapor on top of it and was rivaling dripping my LR 510 Atty.

That being said, some time yesterday all of the sudden my flavor just seemed to cut out like someone flipped a switch. Some flavors are better than others but for the most part all of these great FSUSA juices stopped having flavor on the T System. I pop on a carto and it's fine, but if I use any of my 5 T-carts with any combo of juices I get little to no flavor.

I've cleaned the atty twice since I purchased it (double 15 minute boil method) and it was recently cleaned before the flavor loss started.

Anyone else had this problem?

I'm thinking it could have something to do with cleaning out the whistle-tip portion of the cartridge but I am just not sure.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Mine faded at 8 days. I ordered an "Infinity"and it arrived today. So I am putting the tanks to the side for now. I will keep as a backup but would never reorder this ever again. However, I did see some smartcarts that I would consider trying. For the heck of it!

I cleaned the attie twice and the hit/flavor is not even up to par. I gave up yesterday and went back to my LR atties on the ego.

I think I forgot to mention that the vapor production is still very good on these things but somehow it was just the flavor that faded out...

It seems Sdh is pointing to a bad atty...anyone else have the same experience?

Did you try cleaning the whistle tip to see if it makes a difference? I haven't run into that yet, but I clean mine pretty often. That condensation bothers me it looks so unclean. It opens up the same as a carto.

The exact same thing happened with my ego tank. It's very frustrating.

Well I do have another new one. I will save that one for another time. I am over the frustration now. I bought a new mod and I can taste my flavors. It would have been nice for the tank to work out for me. After the 8 days no flavor and very little vapor. The attie is still working but something is up with it. I will play around with it when I am bored. For now I consider it an experiment gone bad...LOL

Yes I had the same issue with the 1st atties I bought, I bought a 2nd pair from another vendor that have been great...

Oh I am sorry! Didn't mean to forget you! I have just been sick today! (Flu-like) No you won't catch it! LOL
I am thinking maybe TW's was a bad batch? IDK I wish I could help you out more...However, I am at a loss with the tank. I have read though many posts here on ECF. I suppose I am tired of the tank. I wish you luck with it.

At the moment it seems that there are problems with consistency across individual attys/brands. Also, the purity of the juice seems to matter quite a bit as well.

After I figured out how to clean the d### thing I think I can certainly live with it. That being said, staying out of the fray is probably a good thing. But, just based on it's qualities vs. my other atty/cart and cartos it seems likely that once this system is refined it could be really successful.

I got mine from Toatally Wicked 2 weeks ago and have had zero problems and I have not cleaned it at all. It's the only atty I am using at the moment. I kove the thing, Guess I better get some more for my other batteries before something happens to it. I can't imagine going back to mega atties and carts

I haven't ordered the Ego-t Tank yet because of some of the issues people have expressed. Thick juices have been blamed for most problems, but you'd think that vapor and taste would go hand in hand with slow feeding from thick juices. I'd be interested in knowing what the pg/vg mix is for those who have issues and also if some of these are also dark and sugary juices that are likely to burn on the coil and affect taste.

I use 100%VG and it's thick and dark (BlueMistVaping's hazelnut coffee)...has caused problems in the tank systems purchased from TotallyWicked, GoodProphets, and Volcano.

So, it's definitely the juice I use...unfortunately, it's my all-day vape.

Day 2 on the tank here.. Pg didn't work so well for me. Low vapor and TH and terrible taste. When I switched to VG, and stood it upright overnight, It now hits like a champ. I know that makes no sense for this thing, so there must be other variables. I just think these things have a long break in period. I hope version 2 uses the same atty but with a larger cartridge.

Yeah it does take a couple tanks to get to "optimum" glad it is working out for you now

Yes and the VG works just fine.
I believe when you think you have blown out all the primer, you actually haven't.
2nd tank is a dream with VG
