I've been vaping for years and suddenly I'm coughing, gagging, can't get the vapor down.
Someone suggested Im prob allergic to the pg, so i bought juice that had the max amount in it that they sold, but it was like... 30/70 pg/vg or possibly 20/80. It helped a bit but my throat still tickled and i was coughing after using it.

Think the pg is the problem? Can i just vape straight vg? Where would I get that? I did find a large, all natural bottle of vg on Amazon for $10, which did say it could be used for vaping. Should i give it a try? I really dont need flavoring, tbh.

Thanks

If you were allergic to PG the 70% VG Juice should have cleared it up.

I think it may be something in the flavor profile.

I know you said you dont need flavoring. Do you mean the juice causing the issue IS unflavored?? Or is it a new one, I mean new flavor or same flavor but from a different vendor?

If this juice is not from the exact same vendor & the exact same flavor go back to the one you used to use before this started and see what happens.

The other thing I wonder is are you using the same volts/watts? One time I was experimenting with voltages and higher voltage made me cough and choke when inhaling my usual way. And also what about your coil? An old one can also cause these issues. At least it did to me when I tried to stretch the length of time I used it.

Please give us some more information about this stuff so we can better help you pinpoint the problem.

What I would do...

1. Thoroughly clean tank and replace coil.
2. Get a small bottle of each PG and VG USP from the drugstore.
3. Vape some straight VG for a few hours or until symptoms arise.
4. Do the same with straight PG.

This will determine if one of the bases is the culprit. If they are both okay for you to vape, the culprit will be either the nic or the flavourings.

The next step would be to identify which of the last 2 ingredients are causing the issues. Then eliminate it from your vape. Cheers.

If you buy VG to vape make sure it's USP grade.

That said I'm a little suspicious that something "suddenly" happened. Something must have changed. New juice, new tank, new coil? I'm always worried about new tanks having machine oil/fragments in them and wash them really well, just wanted to make sure it's not that.

"I've been Vaping for years and suddenly I'm coughing, gagging, can't get the vapor down."

And the first thing people blame is vaping... Personally I would reverse the logic and consider vaping difficulties as a symptom of something else going on until proven otherwise. It is an uncomfortable position to question another persons self-diagnosis from afar but perhaps there is some other environmental or physical issue that is being overlooked. JMHO.
