Why not the Istick???? From what I have seen it has the same issues as the MVP 2, with the performance of the NEW MVP3. Unless you are assuming that all issues the MVP2 and even the Istick have been addressed in the MVP3. From the research I'm doing, trying to make this same decision. I find that ALL devices in the MVP/Istick/vamo/DNA clone price range <$60 Ebay, have nearly identicle pros and cons.

Here's where I'm at right now. Have pretty much determined that I have lots to learn about Vapeing. I have to learn about making coils and maintaining a RBA, whether drip or tank. I ask myself do I really need to toss the learning curve of a VV/VW device into the mix? So I'm leaning to a Mech, maybe with a VV or VW kick. This way I get the stable vaping of the regulated device, and the ability to concentrate on making proper coils and such. When I am ready for More wattage, or sub ohm coils, Then maybe it will be time to start looking at VV/VW devices, in the minimum of 50w range. For a topper I'm thinking a Kayfun with a Nano tank. Drippers for me are out of the question, I want to fill it and forget it and be able to carry it in my pocket.

Just fyi the learning curve of a mech is steeper, with more drastic consequences if you mess up (hard shorts, thermal runaway batteries.....pipe bomb in your hand). If going the re-buildable route, learn ohms law. You don't want to run coils with a higher amp draw then your battery can handle. As far as why not an istick, it is an ok, capable little device for what it is.....a cheap 20 watt. It's popularity stems more from it's small form factor then from anything else, but it does have issues you won't find in the mvp20 watt. It uses mean instead of rms for regulation, which makes it less accurate. It has a low frequency pwm signal, so won't vape as smooth as the MVP, and especially not as smooth as the new MVP20 watt (it has a new 32 bit arm chip inside). The istick has pretty poor 510 threading, and a non adjustable pin ( mvp20 watt is spring loaded). All in all, for not that much more, the new MVP is a better device over all, just not as small. If you want to go the dropped route, there are many 50 and higher watt devices out that really put out the clouds, but still have all the safety features toy don't get in a mech mod. I don't suggest people mover to mechs until they have had some time practicing with coil building..... Just too dangerous

I really like the Lemo. think I'm gonna get one. Any tips for building?

This is a decent build tutorial:

And for the cliff notes on what I am doing, 27 gauge microcoil, 2mm ID, 8 wraps, 1.1 ohms, using cotton wick.

I am currently using this setup on both the Lemo and the Lemo Drop.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Definitely going to order a Lemo. I'm sure I'll be posting lots of questions for more build tips. Thank you K_tech for the video. What is the best kind of cotton to use and what's the best method for cleaning the factory parts and wire to get rid of all the residue and what not? Thanks everyone!!

Well, "best" is really subjective, but I am currently using plain organic cotton (Walgreen's) in my Lemo, and Japanese cotton (Koh Gen Do brand) in the drop, and they are both working wonderfully.

Not to bore you with more detail than you want, but I often build and rebuild a new atomizer with different kinds of wick to see which I like best. I will probably end up trying Rayon and Tencel Top as well as the days pass. Mostly because I'm that kind of nerd, lol.

As to the cleaning, I soaked everything in hot, soapy water (just a drop or two in a bowl of water, no need for a bubble bath) scrubbed with a soft toothbrush, rinsed, and vaped. This atomizer showed up very clean out of the box, by the way, but I still like to do my own cleaning before I vape.
