Suggestions on BF Atty needed

I need to pick up another BF atty for my LP Grand and confused on what to get. Thanks to BockinBboy's thread on dimensions of all the attys Rob offers, I was able to see comparison on sizes.

I love my RM2 because of ease of building, burst of flavor, tighter and warmer draws. My Odin is also easy to build on which is a huge bonus but the airy, cooler draws are starting to bug me. I also feel taste is diminished on my darker, deeper flavored juices but pops with the lighter juices. I vape mostly deeper flavors versus light and fruity. I also have the RM3 but it's a PITA to build on. I need to file the screws cuz they keep snapping my wires. Just haven't done it yet.

So I'm looking for one that is sized in between 14.5 mm and 22 mm. I feel like larger chambers like 22 mm will always be too airy for me. I don't mind small like the RM2 but I feel like my sweet spot will be like a 19 mm if there are any out there. I'd like one that I can do both single and dual coils and a AFC that allows me to close it quit a bit to get a tighter, warmer draw but open it up some if it's too hot. I do not know how to drill stuff out nor do I have the tools to do so.

The RM4 looks good but HATE Allen screws. And reading the Cyclone runs way too hot (i like warm, not hot) So....any ideas? I know what I'd like but don't know specs/info on BF atty. So lost right now

ETA- sry this was so long but wanted to add I prefer to get authentic. Really don't want clones and willing to pay for quality. Thx!

Thanks and I figured this maybe the answer I was going to get. Can the screws be changed out for Phillips do you know?

Yep - save for the screw issue, you had your very soundly reasoned answer by the time you got through typing your OP. The RM4, of Rob's atties, is your huckleberry.

The first run of RM4's had phillips screws (not sure of the size, tho). The issue was that the heads of the screws were quite close together and people were worried about shorting, so Rob swapped them out for the hex screws. If you did get one and wanted to use phillips screws, just make sure the heads are as small a diameter as possible.

Trying to think of what else to suggest here. If the Cyclone runs too hot for you then the RM4 really is a good bet as it throws off great flavor/vapor but runs much cooler. If the Odin has too big a chamber for you then I don't think the Zenith with BF pin would work either but may be worth a shot, I personally really enjoy it though it doesn't get much attention now with all the Odin buzz.

Ok thanks. I'm thinking the RM4 is it and I need to get over the hex screws. And not sure if the Cyclone runs too hot, never tried it. Its just what I keep reading.

Just so you know, the RM4 is a clone of the Atomic but a very good one well done by Rob. I love mine.

Thanks and I figured that due to price. Been searching high and low for any modded Authentic Atomics-no dice. But I do see regular Atomics all have phillips screws....hhhmmm. Wish I new how to mod myself. That wouldn't turn out well tho

I vote for Chowderhead's Reactor (mfd. by Madz Modz). It can be run in single or dual coil configuration, it's all stainless, small chamber, not a clone, built like a tank and looks amazing atop a REO. None of my other Atties have seen the light of day since I started running my Reactors.

My 2 cents. I have rm2, cyclone and rm4 and I find myself using the rm2 80% of the time. Pretty hard to beat the old rm2 once dialed in. I won't be looking for other attys anymore. I have found my perfect vape.

Hmmmm...I've never thought that the Cyclone vapes too hot personally but compared to the RM4 it is warmer. I use a Cherry Vapes Cloud Chaser drip tip on it which doesn't heat up at all. Actually I find it cool enought that I could pull on that atty until the wick runs dry if I had the lung capacity.

don't do get me wrong I really like the rm4 but I find the bigger size to be less pocket friendly as an adv. I like the rm4 afc a lot cause u can really pull some flavor from it if u use smallest setting. Mind u the flavor is not as good to me as rm2. I find I use the rm2 mostly due to it goes thru juice and batteries at at much slower pace while giving a thick flavorful vape. With all that being said if I could only have one atty I would choose the rm4 for its versatility. For perspective, the atomic was my all day atty prior owning a reo.

I ordered a spare RM2 cap, made the "pdib" slit in it for airier lung hits, and haven't looked back. No need for dual coils, they consume mad amounts of battery life/juice. A dense, warm, lung hit is hiding inside that tiny RM2. And yes, all the flavor characteristics of the tiny RM2 are omni-present.

It ain't pretty, but hella easy to do: Grab a serrated knife, and saw at it until you're smiling like the RM2 is ; )

Juice is held in while squonking via surface tension. Despite it's looks, the "slit" doesn't dribble a single drop. Gotta love physics.

LOLOL...don't get me wrong. I don't think it's nasty and it does pop my lighter flavored juices but it's too airy/cool vape and I'm still playing with it. Not ready to give up yet.

IMO you need a cyclone w/AFC. It will run single or dual coil and the air flow control works great. I do not like a airy or open draw and I can run single or dual coils on the afc version and get the vape and flavor I want. Coil and air hole alignment are important and because it is only a dual post atty it is more effort to build but when it is done and done right it will be rewarding.
