So I've been vaping and tinkering for 2-3 yrs but just recently really want to get into rebuildables.
i have already started stockpiling various sizes of silica and kanthal as well as some ekowool, cheesecloth and other cotton must haves.

I'm usually a dct carto tank guy(the 5-6ml ones) and daily vape is strong cinnamon 90-95% PG so Pyrex or polypropylene at the minimum is a must. And, I cannot do dripping. So it must hold 2ml's+.

i do have Protank 2's (which I am liking) and have been tinkering with them but I'm looking for something else and need some suggestions from you guys that own various brands and types..for example.. Aga-t or RSST? Etc. or would you guys suggest I just stick to my Protank 2's?

is there a big difference in vape quality between a protank2 and quality rebuildable?

All and any suggestions and input is appreciated. I don't want to spend $80 on a setup either, I don't need anything super fancy/exotic, just something that does what it should. I have plenty of pv's that will do the job.

Another thing, for those aga-t guys... Should I wait for t3?.. Looks like it may be coming soon.

Thanks in advance!

I really like the aga-t2, it's got a glass tank so you're good there, and there are just so many options for how to build it with all the available holes in the cap and the negative screw post. I run mine with horizontal micro coils using cotton.

From what I've seen the aga-t3 will only have a 1.5ml tank, and it's a completely different configuration with the wick in the center.

I'm a tinkerer and there's nothing I haven't been able to start and end up mastering so rebuildables is right up my alley.. let's try this...

For you guys that have several..if you had to pick just 1 or 2..overall for ease of use and setup etc. Pick them and a brief explanation would be helpful if you wouldn't mind.

I know there are users here like me that caught the bug. Like I have about a dozen PV's and 2/3 don't see much use or are backups for my backups.. or like how I get nervous when I get below 2-3 ounces of my daily vape juice lol.

Sorry... I'm not going to be much help really. I own a few genesis attys, but I seldom use them. I prefer the Kayfun and clones. Easy to wire and wick, great flavor... and vapor with the right coil, air flow and PG/VG mix. (not a big "cloud" guy... prefer good flavor first and foremost)

Good luck sorting it out. :)

Nonsense, u helped point me in the right direction. I'm not a huge cloud guy either..hence the 90-95% pg juice. I would put taste and flavor first on my list.. but obviously I want something that gives me a nice full vape..and there are some buildables out there that cook the juice better then others from what I've read.

I appreciate your feedback thus far!

If you want to play with the Kayfun 3.1 design without spending $200, take a look at the "Rocket" KF clone. They're on eBay for under $40. They aren't SS, but rather chromed (and/or anodized) copper to keep costs down.
Funny thing is, I got two in a co-op, so I took one and immediately sanded 90% of the chrome off. Looks great on a SS/Brass mech... real, ah... steampunk'ish I guess, although that wasn't so much my intention. Oh well... still looks pretty cool. :)

Albcig, that's the plan. So far I'm really liking my protank 2's and I have successfully rebuilt the heads which are tiny little guys to work with but I want a full size RDA.

State O, I recently did something similar as well. I had a chrome lambo vv that was starting to wear through snd has some small scratches and whatnot so the copper underneath began shoeing and it was just an eyesore. And, since I have a backup stainless mini with the extension tube I wasn't real worried but I knew it was solid brass underneath. So, I spent the afternoon last weekend with the Dremel and now its a solid polished brass limbo that's been clear coated to seal it in. Looks awesome to be honest. Always liked the way polished and patina'd brass looked.

That was the big debate for the day... age it and clear it or leave it polished. Lol

Hey State O, The Rocket KF clone looks like it has a plastic tank to me, well polycarbonate. Am I right on this?

I would definitely order 1 if I could find out what type of tank it had and if it is polycarb it's a no go for me.
I vape strong cinnamon juice so polycarbonate won't do.
PM'ing away!

My first RDA was an A6. It's small, but big enough to do dual coils if you make micro-coils (which are really quite easy). I left the dual air holes stock to do mouth to lung hits. My biggest criticism is that the hole on the center post isn't lined up with the holes on the other two posts. Another criticism is something that I'll bring up in the next review...

My local shop got in some Trident clones, so I picked one up. It's easily big enough for dual coils and quads if you do micro-coils. One of the greatest things about this is the adjustable air flow, though the design could be better. A Trident 2 just came out, and its adjustable air flow controller looks like an improvement, but I still think that it could be better. Anyway, one great feature on the Trident (and Trident clone that I have) is that the posts do not have holes; rather, they have slots. This makes using ribbon wire A LOT easier, and I also find it easier to do dual/quad builds than the little holes on the A6 and some other RDA's. I want to be clear about this: the Trident can be used for mouth to lung inhales, but where it shines is the big lung hits. For $25 or whatever, it's a winner in my book. I do not have an IGO-L, but it seems to me (and I could be wrong) that the few bucks more for a Trident clone are totally worth it. That said, I just checked out the IGO-T online, and, though I'd love titanium, I'd rather have a titanium Trident! I'm going to see what the reviews are on the Trident 2, but so far if you want to get into RDA's, my top pick is the Trident (or clone, depending on how much you want to spend).

I recently got a Cobra clone, which is a rather small genesis-style atomizer tank, and I keep going back to my RDA's when I'm at home and just want to enjoy vaping. If you were to have asked what I'm most interested in getting next, my answer is the Russian 91% and a Trident 2 clone (when they inevitably come out). I'm also considering the Fogger 2.
