Sorry GM I deleted it because it was stupid. I thought I got it off before anyone saw it.

Not according to the table above. You'll notice that at 3.7 volts a 1.8ohm does 7.6 watts and at the same 3.7 volt a 2.5 Ohm only does 5.5 watts. The heat raises but the wattage drops and causes less stress on the batteries.

I actually thought you had some good stuff in there! :)

Not to beat a dead horse. But - At a fixed voltage, as you lower resistance, you draw more Current and the Watts(which has a direct relationship with Heat in this application) will Increase. As you Increase the Resistance, at a fixed voltage, Current draw drops and the Watts produced also drops. E=IR, P=EI, P=I2R

GMoney, I got this information from Switcheds post so I guess you should go read it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/178058-high-voltage-vs-low-resistance.html

I just read it - very nice write up - I agree 100% with everything he wrote. It does not conflict with my statement. He was discussing 2 different voltages, LR1.5Ohm at 3,7V v. 2.5Ohm at 5V and he was discussing the Voltage "sag" that occurs on the "lesser" batteries once you reach the point that they cannot supply sufficient Current to the atomizer.

Furthermore, just to be clear, I think this LR stuff is crazy (destroying battery life and longevity by using an atty that will theoretically fail quicker) when the "smart" thing to do is use a "regular" good performing atty with a Variable Voltage mod from Notcigs and achieving high performance, component longevity and optimum pleasure. ;)

Well anyway that's why I deleted the post. I had been up two days when I wrote it and when I read it again I realized it was trash so I deleted it. I'll leave it up to the learned.

You actually had a lot of good stuff in there! It is so hard to say though - it may have been too much to throw at a beginner.

Sorry about belaboring the above, sometimes I shift back into uber geek mode without thinking ;), part of my background, that I don't use much anymore, is technical.

I have 2 of my image hosting sites that don't work now so I'll try this one.

Well good, that one works.

Well good, that one works.

So this shows how resistance and current relate to each other , they a inversely proportional .

The lower the Resistance the higher the current at the same voltage ( 4.5v in this case )

SO what does this tell us ??? higher resistance = longer battery life , batteries are CUrrent storage devices so the LESS current you use the longer the charge will last.

Thats exactly what I was trying to say in my article I wrote. Problem was I was in a sleep deprivation mode and got the words watts and current mixed up.
I wish they would get photobucket fixed. Then my imageshack quit so I downloaded picasso. About that time Imageshack started working again. I had another program giving me grief so I been uninstalling and installing programs and cleaning garbage out of my registry. I'm done know, finally.

Must of just started because for the last 4 days it just kept saying site maintenance.

Still does. Here's what I see.

Photobucket Site Maintenance

Images and videos may continue to serve during this short maintenance.
(4 days is short?)

My photobucket is working 5C. I upgraded to FireFox 4 and lost all my dang pass words tho...good thing I keep a list!
Off topic but, Roboform is a great program for saving passwords. It has a lot of other useful features such as auto login, auto save, auto syncing passwords to their online server, etc. It also saves your passwords to a folder on your PC that are only readable by Roboform. It can attach to just about any browser as well. I've been using it for years and love it. The free version only allows you to save a set number of passwords (20 or 30 IIRC) but the pay version (which I have) is unlimited.

On topic, I like the description. It's straight forward without getting too complicated.

That sounds pretty useful Modrod, thanks :) I keep a notebook on my desk with a lost of all my log-ins.

5C, maybe I just didn't see the site maintenance notice. I just logged right in.

Well my shortcut kept coming to the site maintenance page so I just logged on from my browser and it worked. Thanks Bo. BTW I re-did my shortcut.
