Just bought a 30ml bottle if her juice, my concern is the harmful chemicals I just read about was found in hers when tested. Does anyone know if she did something about this to make hers safer?, and if not who does have theirs tested and can prove that diacetyl, acetyl propional and acetoin is not in their liquids. New to this and just want a safe alternative to the cigs. Went straight in and haven't had a cig in a week, but what's the sense if switching if it's not safe??? Help lol

I'm a bit addicted to Mother's Milk at the moment, but I also just read about the chemicals in Suicide's juice. I've decided that I'm not going to buy any more, until I know that it's been addressed. I will still finish what I have, but I've been cutting it about 50/50 with VG and DW, in an attempt to cut down the concentration. I'm thinking that since I'm still going to be vaping all of it, that's probably not doing much good, but I have found that I don't mind the slightly milder flavor, so this may be a good way to extend the flavors I like but find just a bit too strong. I'm going follow this thread, because I'm really interested in what others have to say.

I'd like to find out, too. I have seen that Pip got her e-liquids tested and they could not detect diacetyl and acetyl propionyl above the minimum detection limit:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/239973392/Diacetyl-and-acetyl-propionyl-testing-on-Suicide-Bunny-Sucker-Punch-and-Mother-s-Milk

However, there was no mention of acetoin in the above report, which is another substitute for diacetyl.

Here's another thread which discusses these compounds, and a poster added quotes from Ahlusion & Mountain Oak Vapor. Apparently, they conduct testing to ensure their products are free from those chemicals.

Scary stuff.

Is sophistacted tested also do you know? And is it comparable?

No idea if its tested or not. The way I see it, I was smoking straight up poison for years so, as long as I'm not vaping a chunk of coal I'm still better off. As far as a comparison, mothers milk always tasted like a really good eggnog to me that I could taste the nutmeg in. Thats why I loved it. Sophisticated has a little more going on, but I loved it from the start.

Vendors need to conduct third party testing in order to ensure their products are free of these compounds. I read somewhere that some flavoring vendors claimed that their products were diacetyl free, except they weren't, and the ejuice vendors took their word at face value and consequently made the same claim about their juices.

I have a bottle of MM too, and I'll be finishing it, at the very least. I do like it, too, especially after a few weeks of steeping (flavors were muted in the beginning for me), but I will probably be sticking with vendors I can trust. Or maybe I'll switch to more fruit or tobacco flavored juices.

I was on another forum a few months ago when the FDA regs were still up in the air and it seemed like a lot of the juice vendors were running scared. If they sank some money in nice bottles and cool labels, they could mix the juice up in their bathtub and no one would know. I suggested that maybe having some regulation wouldn't be such a bad thing, and that I'd kinda like to know that the juice I bought was safe and made in a hygienic environment.

I thought they were gonna lynch me! LOL. "Don't tread on me!" "Down with big government!" It was crazy.

My first was Suicide bunny Madrina, heavy but nice, Not again. Not a real test, Gas Cromographraphy anyone.. Just ordered 1L 100mg/ml PG base and will mix my self. Then I only have myself to blame if I poison or overdose. I was as all about staying off PG and sticking with VG until I read more and more and more. Keep it at a safe temp and you're fine with PG. It is in the Swedish Match SNUS I am kicking. My cigs were "Red Box" Organic American Spirit for years, that has all changed but I still fall back sometimes. Anything less than an American Spirit I pass on . . .or vomit.
