Hi there,

I'm a vaper from Sydney Australia and have been trying to get answers as to whether or not Mt Baker vapor use Acetyl Propionyl or Acetoin in any of their juices. I know it clearly states on their web site they are a diacetyl free vendor which is great, but when I asked the question about Acetyl Propionyl and Acetoin via their contact me page I got told they don't know and if I'm concerned I should switch vendors.
i assume with that answer I got its highly likely they do, but as I find their juices great all I was after was which juices do contain it so I could avoid those juices.
I did do a search on here but couldn't find anything specific to MBV, so if anyone does know it would be very helpful.

I didn't know about that compound; however I do think its highly unlikely that any predominant US vendor (such as Mt Baker, Halo, EC Blends, Smokeless Image...) will knowingly add a harmful ingredients to its products. if they say they did not, I think Its at least to the best of their knowledge; also, their client base is so large that someone would have had symptoms by now and would have raised hell on the forum ( have they had inflammation and respiratory issues as with the rats).

Its all I got - speculations. still you never know; you certainly got me concerned...

I think you'll be surprised generally these chemicals are used to create the custard/creamy type flavours if they don't use diacetyl, I'm just not sure if they all do it, it may be common practise that's what I'm trying to find out I hope some one knows. I emailed flavor west hopefully they can help.

I don't know much of anything about those two chemicals sept they sound like bad news. What I do know is that mt Baker has a lot of very pleased customers myself included. I've been vaping their juice for about three months and a lot of it. I've had no problems except that I wasn't pleased with a couple of flavors (moo juice lol) but to each his own. I will keep up to date with this thread because now I'm very curios to see what comes up.

I hated the 555 also. I'm waiting for Selaciuos Strawberry. Haven't tried it but it did have great reviews. should be here Monday:)

I thought 555 was crap too one of the first ones I got when I started vaping, but i don't think MBV does tobacco well other stuff fruits bakery ect are great tobacco not so much.

Update on the OP I have gotten answers from both MBV and flavour west although they aren't overly definitive.

I really like their 555,it was the ry-4 I did not care too much for. Their USA blend,is excellent. I do their DIY,so I am able to play. The teaberry,is Freaking Awesome,if your 50 or over and remember the teaberry gum. The Stagleaf, is ok,but I just got it,so am giving it more steep time. I'm very well pleased with them. I live in Texas and always have my order in 2 days. The last order was the only one I did not get a freebie, but don't care,as I got a 14% discount. I use their 50/50 PG-VG 18mg nic and have been very pleased.

I'm letting 555 steep a long while then I'll revisit, I also have coumarin pipe which I like better but still not to my taste. But hey taste is subjective, I'm not totally giving up hope on their tobacco I'll try another maybe USA. I can't fault there service even to Aus it's been pretty swift a week or so maybe two, it's almost steeped by the time it gets here lol
