I received free juice from The Vapor Station for their giveaway for first time customers. Whenever a vendor reaches out like this and gives away SO MUCH MONEY worth of juice it really sends a shiver down my spine and gives me an honest feeling of awe. Big Tobacco wouldn't do this for their customers. These guys, and any other vendor who does anything similar, are honestly great blessings to people like me who are short on cash and have to make every dime we spend on vaping count.
A few disclaimers about my review: Taste is subjective. What you think tastes like utter crap someone else may think is ambrosia. When it comes to taste, I am very critical but always judge it in two ways: How -I- feel about the flavor, and if I think others would like it. I know what my flavor palate is like and what I like, but I also know what others ooh and aww over and generally use that as a reference.
All juices were tested at 4 volts and 5 volts on a Saber Touch (The Saber Touch), on an HH357 atomizer (HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper). I used a glass trippy tip to ensure the best flavor. Each juice was tested after vaping unflavored juice for an entire day to ensure the HH357 had no flavor in it. Both juices were 16MG.
Package and juice appearance:
The juice bottles come in nice childproof bottles with a small label listing their nic content. I noted that there was no other label on the bottle, and instead they come in a small white box with the flavor printed on them. I've already contacted the vendor about this and they mentioned that larger flavors do have a proper label. This is something that drippers such as myself really have to keep in mind as we cannot readily carry around a bottle without a label very easily. The bottle is a high quality bottle and easy to squeeze. It's a very standard bottle and delivers nice drops for any dripper. It wasn't one of those hard plastic bottles that many (including myself) LOATHE so much.
The juice itself is a very pleasant looking color. Both juices looked identical and I could only tell the difference by very very close examination. They're very pleasant looking light brown/tan colors.
Scent of juice and scent of vapor:
Sumatra:10/10 juice - 6/10 room note
The sumatra smelled divine from the bottle. A there was a light scent of caramel and almost a vanilla like undertone. It smelled like some biscotti or something. The room note from the vapor was very pleasant, but not as pleasant as the juice itself. There was a very noticeable scent of tobacco (which many non-smokers will not appreciate) but it was not like someone just lit up a cigar. The scent was gone after 5 minutes or so off of the puff with no open windows in a basement. Note: This is with PLUMES of vapor. The HH357 and the saber touch provide insane vapor production.
Seattle:1/10 juice - 9/10 room note
The juice itself smelled very strongly like a vicks vapo-rub. It's a very powerful and unpleasant to smell juice (though, could clean your sinuses real good!) - however, the room note was very pleasant. It almost smelled like someone spritzed some mouthwash into the air. Very pleasant scent that almost any non-smoking friend would welcome! There is no tobacco scent on this juice's room note.
Vapor Production:9/10
Both juices provided the exact same vapor production and I noticed no difference. I was immediately surprised at the plumes I got from this vapor. This is MILES ahead of most vendors as far as vapor production goes. I am not certain of the PG/VG content but I know that I got a lasting cloud of vapor while vaping during a movie. It lingers nicely and provides big thick clouds of vapor for you to admire.
Taste:
Sumatra: 8/10 personal preference | 9/10 if you like RY4s and tobaccos/coffee.
On the first hit of this juice I gagged and nearly threw up. I hated it immediately. It tasted nothing like the description and instead tasted like a really bad RY4 (mind you, I hate RY4). However, I always stick it out when testing out juices and boy am I glad I did. About 5 puffs in it was a completely different juice. The flavor mellowed and the overbearing tobacco and armpit taste of the RY4 died down. Instead, I started to taste a creamy taste I cannot describe. Almost like one of those soft caramels that had been dipped in coffee before you sucked on it. It was very enjoyable. I do not vape many tobacco juices and picked these juices up primarily for my father in law, but this is one that if he doesn't like.. Well, let's just say I am pretty sure I will get it vaped without much pain =) Note: This juice LINGERS. It took me about 12 hours of vaping unflavored juice before I didn't taste the juice anymore. Don't put on an atty you're not willing to clean!
Seattle: 1/10 personal preference | ?/10 if you REALLY REALLY want a VERY POWERFUL menthol - THIS IS FOR YOU!
I always hate saying I cannot stand a juice - but this one I just couldn't stand. After about 5 minutes it wasn't horrible, but it still wasn't something I planned on vaping any longer if I didn't have to. I do question, after reading the website, if I instead got the winterchill (I believe that's what it's called). It was nothing but menthol. I tasted absolutely NO tobacco. It was pure menthol. It, flavor wise, was something similar to a hyped up newport that had been dipped in mouthwash and vicks. I mean, it's not like it tasted like BAD menthol - it was just so overpowering that it actually made my nose tingle. I will add: I am almost certain my father in law will LOVE this juice. It's not that the juice tasted bad so don't take that from this. It's that it was an extremely - EXTREMELY - overpowering menthol flavor and it was just too much for me. I was a menthol smoker primarily (salem green labels, black labels occasionally if I could find some that were not stale, and natural american spirit greens.) but this was too much for me. If you are struggling to find a good menthol - give this a try. It's worth the try because it could just be what you're looking for.
Both juices had a very pleasant throat hit. Very mild, but may be too little for some who desire very strong throat hits.
Overall: Overall, this could be one of the better tobacco vendors out there. They're quick to reply and very kind - they definitely deserve the business. I am interested in some of their other juices and intend to try them with my father in law. As a whole, they get about as high of a score as a business could get! =)
