Darkhood.......what about a straight flavor like butterscotch or some smooth caramel.....how have you fixed those? Or have you tried just single recipes? My first attempt was not very good......am nervous about all that, but I guess it's like any recipes....keep trying.......

There are some flavors that are GREAT on their own @ 10% - 20% (cinnamon danish), others not so much (butterscotch).

Primer.....then what else is used to make good butterscotch or caramel flavors? I have tasted some pretty good ones.

Not for sure here...but I would think some type of sweeteners.

Just put an order in with RTSVAPES...hate to say it...but they were cheaper..including their FA flavorings...Plus...they were closer to me...them being in NC and all. Anyhow...was wondering...was at Walmart today, and in their baking section they have Food Grade flavorings...you can get 2oz of theirs for 2.48 a bottle...of course they don't have all the different flavorings we as Vapors want/need...but as far as Banana flavors, different berry flavors and what not, they had...would this be OK to use...is this pretty much the same as what we would order online? They even showed on their boxes it was mixed with PG!

As far as my reading goes (feel free to correct me anyone) you can use those flavorings since they are, at the root of it, the same thing. Just carefully read the labels. You are looking for "natural/artificial flavor, PG" and then I think some have alcohol. The ones containing oils seem to be a no-no for most people.

Thanks so much for the reply! I only bought one bottle yesterday...didn't want to buy too many just in case we couldnt use them..I got the Strawberry flavor. Here's what's on the back of the bottle. Water, PG, Alcohol, artificial flavor. This should be OK then, right?

I don't like to vape sweets, or eat them. Coffee black, no sugar. RY4 juice flavors are getting old on me, but for some reason I like coffee with a touch of caramel(...?)To remain on topic, TFA espresso + TFA chocolate... will I need sweetener? Anybody have experience with TFA espresso? I already asked on the TFA flavor thread...

...but I HATE ry4.
there I said it

Don't be ashamed. Though I've only tried one RY4 from one vendor, that one is not tasty to me at all. It's overwhelming caramel. So much so I diluted with 50% with some green apple, but it's still just a heavy caramel vape.

Anyway, you may return to your regularly scheduled DIY programming now.

Yep- looks right to me. On a side note, if I am reading your siggy line right, you are about a week sans-stinkies? (Yay for you btw!) do remember that your taste buds may still be rather compromised from smoking, so you may need higher-than-average flavoring percentages for awhile. This is a key point that no one told me at the very beginning (of vaping, so it would certainly apply to DIY) and was VERY helpful once I knew.

(Out of entertained lurking) I actually use the lid to pop those caps off if it already has juice in it that way I don't get messy (now I like messy, but not so much with e juice). To do it, unscrew the lid but don't remove it from the bottle, then give 'Er a sideways flick of the wrist and the little cap should pop right into the lid. I do this if i am blending one juice with another or adding flavor to a juice i have already made. If you keep the cap inside the lid, then when you are ready to put it back on, simply put the lid back on and screw it tight- the inside cap will pop back into the bottle, and you never had to touch it ( or lose it, which is the real reason I started this technique)

(Pause for glowing praise of the OP....)
Bravo on this thread- it was exactly what we needed to decided to take the leap!

1LastShot, I don't think I've ever used this before but ... ... OMG, that's exactly what I do with my caps!!! I had to read your post twice to believe I wasn't dreaming.

This thread is wonderfully useful, and I've gotten laughing cramps to boot. LOL

I've got 1oz bottles with euro droppers coming which will be filled with 100 mg pg based nicotine and put in the freezer. My question is since my nicotine is in 1 liter container, what can I do to minimize exposure to air. Should I transfer nicotine in 250 oz bottle and then use the syringe to transfer to the 1 oz bottles?
