Take the top off with a toothpick if its a rubber one otherwise you will need to heat the carto tip in some really hot water boiling maybe to loosen the glue and force it off with a strong paper clip or a needle nose tweezer if you have some better yet here is a link how to do it

but the carto should be refilled like a regular cartomizer to avoid burning it since the liquid needs to be there to prevent the burning and super hot vapor you are describing.

I just got mine today, too. The carto is super hot, almost burning my lips. The vapor is not very good. I have pumped and pumped and get a couple of hits that are hot then it fades back. How do you fill the carto from the top? This is my first one. I'm using the carto that came in the kit.

I take a dental pick and pick off the mouth piece and also the silicon ring inside. To fill a carto - you put the plug and rubber on the battery end, hold it on an angle and drip ejuice on the side of the carto avoiding the center hole and rotating to let the filler soak up the ejuice. You should only have to do it once.

Carto bodies can get hot no matter what battery you're on. If you have a 510 or 901 cartridge you can cut one of them down to fit in the end of the carto or get a drip tip. I like the long delrin ones from Nhaler.com.

What I did before that, was cut a hole in the center of the rubber that was on the mouth piece end and replaced it.

It was a problem with the type of carto it was, If you take a paperclip and take off the little rubber white piece and look inside if it looks spirally like a little towel that is why its so freaking hot, she said they hit ALOT harder. She's sending me a regular one to give a try, a regular one she said will look like doughnut shaped foam or something.
ALSO, you can screw on an ego 510 cart/atty, and still use it with the wetbox and still pump the juice, just be careful u don't overflow it she said.

Good deal! I think she's right, on the 'towel rolled up' types, ... seems there's more channels to get to the mouth piece. I've tried and failed use an atty but only tried it once. Ran into something ;-)

I just received a Wet Box today myself. Instructions say hit the pump 5 times and vape away...This works good for a bit but even when giving her a few pumps the carto began to taste burnt. I don't have much carto experience as I usually drip. Luckily I armed myself with a few extras last week. I did the top fill method and screwed the new carto on. I'm happy to report I vaped the bottle dry. Every hit was as good as the first and it didn't leak a drop of juice. WHAT...No leaks??? Maybe my stock of paper towels will last a bit longer now.
Let me say I've been on the GGTS at 6V and using a HV 901 atty. The new 901s leak more than they vaporize. I also hit a Black Bullet at 3.7 with LR510s and they leak too. The LR 510s don't last as long as I would like and I picked up a few LR510 cartos to try but haven't as of yet. Since my taste buds are returning I've been cutting my mg and voltage. Still I gotta have clouds of vaper. The WB with the regular carto is doing a more than adequate job. So far I'm very pleased and can leave home for a few hours without the juice tagging along.
