both the top and the bottom of my nautilus are stuck. I assume it is a super vacuum of sorts. Tried freezer, tried hot water, rubber band, rubber gloves, pliers. Any last tips begore I give up. My poor little hands are aching and raw....

i find its not the vacuum that's the problem but glass unscrewing and acting like a lock nut try holding the top knurled bit and try screwing the glass back into it hope this helps
Try using the rubber side of a mousepad to open it. That's what I use for mine and works like a charm 
I use pliers. Gently gently use pliers on the base. Just apply the pliers on the base so they are gripped well, then slowly turn slightly to loosen. Be gentle and don't break the glass.

Yep, been there including the sore hands. Duct tape top and bottom, vice grips both ends and lever it open.
I think I'm going to have to wait until I can find something to grip the base. Even pliers isnt doing the trick. Soooo annoying!
This is why I keep old cotton socks that got holes in them. Wrap the sock around the tank then use the pliers. Good rounded one with big teeth not chimpy little needle nose. The sock gives grip but keeps from scratching. Use old ones though as this may cut holes in them but worked great on all my stuck tanks or when my RDAs glued themselves to my mechs.
Yep, sounds like the Glass has it jacked up. Spread Pressure.
Need to hold Top Tighten Glass. Should reduce pressure and allow Base to be removed.
If the Glass un-threads, it pushes tightly against the Top and the Base.

I have this happen to me often and I use a paper towel or rag doubled over with a pair of channel lock. You can also heat the glass under hot water and apply ice to the metal base. I constant pressure usually does not work but a quick motion will normally get it moving. I find it happens when your putting it on the MOD if you are holding by the top knurled cap for the mouthpiece.
This happened to me recently and I tried all the tips to no avail. There's something about the threads not being stainless steel, the rings can get crossed. Had to throw the thing away attached to my svd 2.0
They do not get cross threaded by themselves. Over-tightened and the E-Liquid causing a seal can make it hard to disassemble but they do not cross thread on their own. It has to be forced to screw up the threads. Hand tight means hand tight.
I've used a small screwdriver for my tank that got stuck a few times, warning though, I dont know how yours would handle it, the air holes are much smaller and you'd be using the coil for leverage
With kfun v4, the e chamber was rough from the begining. While trying different builds each day i could remove. Found a good build & two weeks later atomic weld.

Are there not different sized holes in the base itself that the air valve spins around?
Yes, but if you want to turn the base or deck you must grab that as the air valve spins.
I've given the top part of the Nauty a half turn when I get 3/4 way through my liquid. Still no leaking and no vapor lock when trying to refill.
I cut a rubber jar opener in half (2 half moons), use one to grip the glass and the other on the bottom, works mostly every time. Do not twist the cap, where the tip is, I did and broke one. If the 2 rubber pieces don't work, grab the glass tank with the rubber piece and the bottom knurled piece with pliers and gently turn.
I'm talking about sticking a small screwdriver inside the holes of both air control ring And base
Grab the spline section and the knurled sections is my best advice since you can't exert too much pressure on glass.
