So my sinus problems I spoke of earlier (caused by smoking) led to me actually snoring. My fiance took to beating the crap out of me with pillows while I slept. It was not cool!

Now I only snore when I drink too much and pass out (and I still get beat on for that) :(. YAY! Apparently I like to snuggle a lot extra in that state. Baby doesn't want to snuggle drunkie!

I've done a ton of research on this and, from what I can gather, the hyperglycemia (high blood sugar/appetite suppression) caused by smoking is actually caused by nicotine itself. I didn't gain weight when I started vaping (and neither should anyone else have by this measure UNLESS they fall victim to what I say next). Another thing, I know a lot of people claim to have improved smell and taste when they quit smoking. I can't say that really was the case for me. Alas, it's business as usual in that department for me.

I didn't start vaping with the disposables that so many start with - I went straight to an eGo kit.
But I went to a store closing clearance sale a few months ago and they were selling off their disposables for a few bucks each - I bought several and now have given them all away.

Again, just trying vaping even with a disposable might be all that is needed to nudge a smoker in the vaping direction.

I did begin vaping on a disposable, blu actually,Then went to there kit then to an ego, I can't fault the diisposables cause I actually used them for a couple weeks and still buy them, so when I'm out and someone questions it I can hand them one and maybe it will change a life like it did mine I also keep vendor cards on me and even have some with ECF website on it.

My daughter is the one that actually pointed them out to me, She had bought one so I tried it on her advice, I made the change but she was really struggling with it and still smokes more than she vapes, I recently sent her an ego kit, I'm hoping maybe that will be enough she seems to want to but was not satisfied with the disposables, and did not have the money to buy the kit. I also got my father using them when he came to visit this summer, and was so surprised when I talked to him last week to hear he was still at it. The next one I'm working on is my niece she just had her second baby and I would really like to send her a kit to try out, in hopes it will help.

Tuesday #1. People at work have started asking me about my Ego on a daily basis. I am taking the time with each one to explain how it works and how easy it was for me to quit smoking. I'm hoping that I see a few people vaping in the building very soon. I am so grateful for what vaping has done for me and I just want to share it with every smoker I see.

My good friend, who now lives in another state from me, is pregnant.
She's has had long time anxiety issues and essentially smokes in order to help herself deal with her anxiety.

She is now pregnant.
She miscarried her last pregnancy at about 4 months. She was devastated.

And she smokes.
She knows she shouldn't smoke, but she's anxious and that makes her want to smoke.
And now she's even more anxious about the pregnancy because of the loss of her last one and that makes her smoke even more.

I've told her to start vaping, but she's never done it.
I sent her a disposable which she did use, but didn't follow up on to get more.

I know I can't make her stop smoking if she's not ready, but perhaps a straightforward starter kit might be just the ticket for her....
