Svd firing button quick fix !! No ripping it apart

Hello to all ! I have had an issue with my Itaste SVD since it was new. I push the fire button and it seems to have a mind of it's own. It just does what ever it wants ie; shut off, fire, not fire, turn on if it wants to after I push the button numerous times. So after searching the web on and off for quite some time I landed on Thailand vapes and the answer. Here we go kiddos: Battery out ! Push the fire button in with your thumb until you hear the click, now keeping the button pushed down and turn it. Put battery in and try firing it. If it fires every time then viola' you got it. You may have to do this once or twice until your button doesn't spin any more. Mine is working like a dream now. After nearly a year of aggrevation. The simple things confound us.

If this is the first version of the SVD then the best fix I've found for the button is to replace the mod.

I had two of them and both of them failed with broken buttons within 3 months of purchase. You're little trick didn't work on either of them (It's not a new "fix" BTW, I've known about trying to twist the button since mid 2013.) One of the buttons stopped popping out. There was no fix at all for it. The other became crunchy and would stick on while firing. It got worse and worse until it stopped working entirely.

Having nothing better to do I decided to totally disassemble the mods. What I found did not make me happy. The wires inside are spliced together rather than being single wires that are soldered on both ends. Not only are they spliced together, but the splice is simply twisting the wires together and holding them with a small piece of tape. They are not soldered. So, any good shake or impact could cause the wires to come apart and it's possible for the wire going to the battery to contact the body of the mod creating a runaway short. IMO they're dangerous and shouldn't be used at all.

My wife recently got herself an SVD 2.0 which I must say is a MASSIVE improvement over the original SVD.

So, I have been playing with with my RDA's today. I love the flavor I'm getting from my Magma, 1.1 dual, built on 2 mm w 30 G K, running on I stick 20 w at 10-11.5 w using the 2 mm air port, juice is 60 v. I have the coils set on a 45*, using cotton. I know it's not earth shattering but I really don't care for a super warm v ape. Been trying it on my different a p v mods all v v /v w. Not getting the great vapor production I expected. Wick issue? How far should the wicks go into the drip well of this thing? Sorry if this post looks a little wonky but I'm not allowed to post links yet and this forum assumes every thing is a link. : )
