Ok Ive tried Cotton Candy, which is just eythol maltol dissolved in PG, as a sweetener in my juices and it just doesnt give me the 'pop' that I've gotten from some vendor purchased ejuices.

I CANNOT stand anything diet so anything with a saccarin after taste would make me sick.

Looking for a good sweetener. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks all.

I'm not a real DIY, but some say adding menthol crystals makes flavors "pop".
I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners, so I feel ya. Almost no one uses aspartame ever because it's not stable at warm temperatures. Some use sucralose (Splenda). You already know about Cotton Candy. I hope we find something natural that won't kill atomizer/cartomizers.

Stevia is the sweetest I have found in sweeteners. I've used EM and sucralose, as well. It's all natural, too. You can buy liquid Stevia at GNC for around $12/bottle. A bottle will probably last you for years (depends), as you only use 1/2-2 drops per mL (depending on your sweet tooth). As stated above, a little menthol makes flavors "pop". Try that, too, but it won't make flavors sweeter. VG is claimed to have a sweeter vape as well. I mix around 50/50-60/40 PG>VG.

I use TFA sucralose and have used up to 6% in some mixes. But then again I have a bit of a sweet tooth. The Cotton candy didn't work for me either. When I make a mix for the first time I make it 1ml less than the recipe calls for and up the nic by at least 1-2mg per ml, that way I have room to play with the flavors/sweetener and still have something vapeable.
Good luck

EM isn't a sweetener, it is a sugary flavor. The molecule binds only halfway with sweetness receptors on the tongue. Both EM and maltol do though intensify the effects of sucrose, but this is a scientific mystery as to why. This is what I read anyhow... I'm curious if EM will intensify sucralose but haven't gotten around to testing it.

I think people are supposed to be careful using Splenda packets or similar because it can have other fillers in it. I use PA Sweetener/sucralose and dilute it 50% with PG so it is easier to fine tune. A few drops of that is usually plenty for me.

sidetrack, Hypnotic Mist seems a lot like cotton candy to me (which was disappointing).

aprioristic - It's funny you say that. I'm starting to think the issues I was having with sucralose were due to the fact that I was using EZ Sweets, which contains binders/fillers. I'm going to try TPA's sweetener following your ratio.

At what % are you using Hypnotic Mist? I love it at around 8%, but it does seem to have a very small margin of error for me. 10% and it turns into a Sour Patch Kid - 6% and it tastes like watered down tea.

I forget what % offhand but I will try 8% sometime. I don't get sour patch kid, what does it taste like to you at 8% then? IDK what that stuff is.. I think it must be a bunch of flavors you don't find in nature yet taste fruity.

If people are going to get PA stuff, just get a bottle of sweetener and Cotton Candy and you are set (besides stevia). I want to try stevia but still not sure which is best to use.
