Sweetener

Is there anything in my house I can use as a sweetener? I know that normal sugar is a no no, so what could I use?

short answer is no.... unfortunately you cant buy sucralose in the store and that is the only sweetner worth using that will actually taste good and is a little easier on cartos/atties

Actually, I've seen sucralose for sale in a health food store, but it was only available in a 2 pound bag. That's enough to last 17 lifetimes for most DIYers.

Some people use Stevia to sweeten their DIY, It can give an off or chemical taste that some don't care for. Splenda is sucralose along with other stuff that you don't want to vape but if you are adventurous the sucralose can be extracted using pga. If you are interested do a search as there are a number of threads on this topic.

Splenda is a sugar alternative you might have heard of, this stuff is sucralose but has a bunch of other stuff in the powder (ie: not very good for juices)

You want liquid sucralose. Some supermarkets carry it, but no you probably don't have any in your house. The brand I use is Ez-Sweetz you can get a free sample of it from here - EZ-Sweetz® Free Sample It works good

The perfumer's apprentice flavour section has it cheaply. Splenda is only usually 3-5% sucralose and not suitable for adding to flavour.

I got a sample of this because it will take the heat of the atty or carto just fine. I don't detect any artificial taste at all from it. Yes, you can get a sample - all you need to pay is the shipping cost.

Just ordered a 1/2 oz (whatever that is) of 25% sucralose solution at ebay. It was just over $7.5 with shipping, where shipping was the most expensive part.

Sorry guys we don't sell in under 1kg Qty and usually the minimum is 10kg. We sell only to businesses.

Be careful here. Any more discussion along these lines and tomxgreat would have to register as a supplier. I will let this slide as I assume he was just citing an example and not soliciting for business here.
