So im pondering wether its time to delve into adding sweeteners to my mixing.

Who here has played around with sweetener additives, what sweeteners did you use?

And most of all, how was it? Does it really make it taste sweeter... on your tongue?? Does it bother your throat/lungs at all?

How much sweeter did it make things? Were you able to get rediculously sweet juice, or was it just a subtle hint of sweetness that you couldnt get past?

I just wanna know if this will really make a difference or if im going to wind up disappointed with it like I am with the vast majority of flavors.

I've used splendex for months with my peppermint that i use as my all day vape. It's wonderful. Makes the peppermint taste just like candy cane.

Tasty Vapor has some liquid sweetener for $2...i have some but havent tried it yet.

A little bit goes a long way, so if you try it, just use a very small amount.

I agree, just one drop of splendex to 10ml makes the liquid, if you get it in your mouth sweet tasting not bitter. I use it in my fruit flavors. At one drop per 10ml I have not had a problem with my health or atty problems. And I can tell the difference when I vape a sweetened juice vs non sweetened.
Hope this helps

Oh my! This is a wonderful thread as I have a sweet tooth and was wondering how the heck I am going to flavor my juices (DIY) to satisfy it. Dan, props to you! I have only been on this forum for a little over a week now, but reading your posts have been SUPER DUPER helpful! Especially that Ejuice Calc! Thanks so much for all you do! XOX

Is Splendex a liquid or does it usually come as a powder, if the latter then what concentration are you making liquid splendex at before adding to e-juice??

I get mine from www.splendex.net 1oz bottle of liquid for 9.95
1 drop = 600 drops of surgar!!

Hi all,

i have sucralose and aspartame in powder form. can i know whether it should be dissolve with water before mixing into e-liquid?
or just mix the powder direct into e-liquid?

You'll want to dilute it with distilled water IDK maybe PG would work too. Just becarefull and add no more than one drop at a time. It's easy to do too much and end up with sweet phlegm for the week :)

When I starting vaping, I ordered some FSUSA Vanilla Bourbon 2x and liked it (where's da bourbon?). So I ordered 360ml and have been vaping it daily. Well, I had enough that I still have some steeping (which has enhanced the vanilla flav a 'touch').

I decided to add a bit of EZ-Sweetz as an experiment. Whoa... 1 drop per 5ml and 'yummm'. Just that lil' o' bit of sweet really kicked the flav up a couple of notches.

So, to answer the original question, YES, sweetener can make a diff!

I just got ethyl maltitol from DIY flavor shack. It seems to be working. I avoid all sucralose/splenda bc I think it is the devil :D

I'm interested in the ethyl malitol as well. There's some data that suggests that sucralose type sweeteners can cause joint damage. I've also seen the difference first hand in how it affected my joints when I quit using it in my coffee. I believe that data to be true...not sure about inhalation hazards of sucralose, but I think I'll pass for my DIY stuff that I vape 99% of the time. I'm know I've vaped some juices with sucralose in them, but prefer not to.

Iffy tried to give me some of that bourbon flavor so he didn't have to vape it or throw it away....I passed.

I've noted a "chemical" aftertaste using Splendex. Never have cared for artificial sweeteners though and have some concerns about allergic reaction. Then I shifted to either EM or cotton candy, which I believe are one and the same, just a concentration or diluent difference perhaps. Both of them in small quantities helped sweeten and it was more of a "truer" sweetness versus Splendex. I just received a sample of sugar cream from DIYFlavorShack and so far it beats everything I have used in the past. I'm not sure what's in it, but it definitely gives a much sweeter flavor to my juices. No aftertaste and very sweet. Just my 2 cents.....
