Just started diy, and was wondering if most juices that everyone on here makes have sweetener added? I've been making a few batches of ry4 30/70 high vg and it's missing that sweetness store bought e juices have. I figured the high vg would add sweetness and it's not the case. Right now they've been steeping three weeks in a cabinet. The mixes are all roughly
10% ry4
5 Bavarian cream
2.5% vanilla
2.5% caramel
All TFA flavors, I've made one the same but with ry4 double also

Many people dislike any perceptible sweetness in their juice, some like it lightly sweetened while others like it syrupy sweet. As with flavor it's highly subjective. Even the method of sweetening is subjective, some prefer using Ethyl Maltol (EM), some use a sucralose based sweetener (what the retail juice industry uses), a few even use liquid Stevia. I've tried several sweeteners and definitely prefer the sucralose based (Sucralose/PG/water). I generally use it at around 2% in most mixes but not in all as some flavors are pretty sweet all on their own.

As a rule I don't add sweetener and vape it for a week. If I feel it needs to be sweeter I will add no more then 1% sweetener. I never use EM to sweeten as it's not really a sweetener it tricks the taste buds into thinking a sweet vape is sweeter then it really is. It's used more as an additive to add thickness and body to a vape and should be used at no more then half a percent. For adding actual sweetness use sucarlous.

Thanks for the links. I don't understand the percentages and don't have measuring equipment. So if I want to sweeten 30ml of pre-made juice, approximately how many ml of sweetener should I add?
