Switch problems, any recommendations.

I have had switch problems with both my lava tube and now the gripper. Fore some reason with in 2 months both of them are having the same issue.... I hit the button and nothing, it will fire if i push the button either real hard or find the right spot. I am not sure if i am doing something wrong or if this is an issue others are having. I am very gentle with my things and not hard on them (nother have been dropped or mistreated). If these are know issues, is there anyone out there that knows how to repair them, or any recommendations for a decent priced vv mod. Any help would be appreciated.

Open it,remove the battery and look inside...is the circuit still aligned with the switch?

If it is,try shoving some rubbing alcohol in there, shake like a martini, drain as much as you can out of it,take a container big enough to receive the APV and a handfull of rice, seal the container, let sit over night.

Wood grain alcohol works best. It can be purchased in Quebec at the SAQ under the brand name Alcool (I think that's the spelling).

Maybe Martin can get a co-op going

To expand on this, what I do is this:

I place the lavatube without battery or battery cap into a ziploc bag, then fill the bag 1/3 full of 99% alcohol. Once this is done, I burp all of the air out of the bag, being sure that there are no air pockets left in the device. After that, I rapidly click the button for a few minutes, giving the bag a swirl every now and again.

This seems to scrub the corrosion fairly effectively. To dry it I just give it a good shake and leave it on a heat vent overnight. Good as new in the morning.

I pour the extra alcohol back in the container, and mark it as being for electronics/cleaning only.

*!!!* Really? You can expose all the circuitry to alcohol? This is safe? Wow..... I'd have never in a million years tried that if someone hadn't suggested it. I still might not, but I'm very curious to hear more about this method...

I've resolved this issue by placing faulty mod in the trash bag and purchasing a mechanical mod...
Buy right or buy twice.

Vamo... you guys are funny!

 To be honest, I'm loving my Vamo and having VW but I'm also still a LOT greener than you are. I'll admit though that as I'm getting more proficient and comfortable doing builds that come in at targeted resistance, I'm leaning more and more to mechanicals.
