Title says it all. I have a clone from fasttech the stainless steel, with brass hybrid cap. The switch spring is crunchy as .... and it's waaaaay too long.

So long that it's actually pushing the delrin insulator out of the switch :/, and in a fit of rage, I chipped the insulator, still usable. But bothersome.

Does anyone know where I can get a good replacement spring, and perhaps that insulator as well?

Update: took out the spring and insulator(will this be a problem), as I got tired of spring popping out every time I changed the battery, as much as I hate battery rattle, I'll take that over this spring till Ivan find a replacement. Is it all right to run without that insulator and spring?

Also side question could I make a spring out of kanthal?

So, unless the clone is built wildly different from the authentic I had, yes, it's a huge deal to not have a spring and insulator in there. Without the spring, there's nothing to push the switch back down and away from the battery after a hit. Without a spring, you push the button in and up, and then it would just stick there, in the firing position. You don't want the mod firing non-stop and venting a battery.

Hmm; that's one of those dangerous mods that have no 510 centerpin.

I'm not sure but I think the threading on that mod is m20x1.

When you use mech mods it makes sense to get a few with similar threading, that way you can swap things around.

I've got a few m21x1 threaded tubes myself, because that's the same thread as on vamos and zmaxes.
