Switched to e-cigs, now my throat swells up every time I smoke

I used to smoke about 2 packs a week, have been for the last 7 years or so. Figured I'd give e-cigs a try. Got myself a KangerTech Evod. I noticed after the first few days, that when I vaped, my throat would start to feel a little... "thicker". I slowly tapered my cigarette use down until now, a few weeks later, I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do sometimes have a little bit in a pipe. But lately my throat has started to feel swollen all the time, it comes and goes throughout the day. But it swells up really fast when I use my e-cig or when I smoke that pipe, either one makes my throat swell up a bit. It is very worrying. I held a flashlight at the side of my neck, and I can literally see an area that is risen, about the side of a toonie, below my adams apple. When I place my finger on the area, I can feel it in the same part of my throat that feels swollen. I don't have a sore throat at all, and I can't see any redness when I look down my throat. Its just like its swollen.

Is this something that is commonly experienced when quitting smoking, or should I be worried?

Dehydration , you need a lot of water, I mean a lot. If this worked , it's great. If not, may be you have allergy to PG, look for 100% VG liquid. If it didn't work, then go to see a doctor....

I'm pretty sure it isn't dehydration. I am notorious for drinking way, way too much water. I never leave the house without a water bottle, even for a short walk or drive to the grocery store. I always tried a sip of water to see if the water rushing over the swelled area would make it go down, but it didn't seem to help.

The liquid I am using is 50/50 PG/VG. Allergy was the first thing I thought of, but now, even smoking regular tobacco, or smoking anything, makes the throat swell up. It actually does it much much worse than the e-cig does - the ecig only makes it swell up a little bit.

Could be either the PG or VG. I can't tolerate VG, feels too heavy in my systerm. But your best bet is to see a doctor!!!!!!!!!

My ENT doc checked my throat for a heavy cough some weeks ago, byproduct of a flu. When questioned about vaping she said VG would serve as a bug barrier and PG would help open the airways. She then asked about nicotine and when I said zero ‰ and only natural ingredients she OK'd me.

Sent from 40m below the surface of the ocean with N2O2 bubbles expelled by my AquaLung Legend Extreme.
