Great. Now I want to get a sense of costs. Here are the list of available stuff with their pricing:

18$

If I vape 10ml daily at 30w, about how much would it cost per month? With CCELL coils it costs about 50$ monthly. (I'm excluding the e-juice costs)

I use rayon, and build my own coils. The rayon was $15 for more than a lifetime supply. My coils cost me mere cents per coil to make (let's just say 25 cents per coil, but it costs less than that in reality as I buy bulk to further reduce overall cost). I run a single coil for about a month and a half or two months before swapping them out, and re wick every other day. In one month I spend less than 50 cents on coils/wicks on one RDA (actual number is lower, but estimating the rayon is pretty much impossible).

I should also mention, I go through ~15ml per day at 45w.

I use Rayon and it tends to withstand higher wattages a bit better, and has more longevity. IDK where you are located but amazon sells Sally's Cellucotton Graham 100% rayon by the box and it lasts a long time. It's a more forgiving wick (IMO) and I found it much easier to use. It shrinks when wet unlike cotton, and it needs to be tight in the coil, and the wicks trimmed and thinned a bit. Cotton can work well too, although it's a bit different from rayon, it expands when wet.

I can't really say what will be the "best" coil for you, and IDK if your RTA is a dual coil, you'll need to remember the resistance will be halved with each coil. I might shoot for a resistance similar to what you are liking now. To figure that out, steam-engine.org may be useful.

I don't know if you have an Ohm's reader or a building kit but they're fairly inexpensive, although yes, you can check the resistance and your build on a regulated mod, if trying to save money and etc., if you are trying to do this more inexpensively. You may want to check out the rebuildable section in general to get more ideas concerning how to build safely and successfully, IDK.

Best of luck,

Anna

One quick question before going to the RBA section. Isn't RDA annoying since you need to constantly hold the juice bottle and drip in?
It can be to some people. I solved this by using squonk mods. You could also get an RDTA (has a tank under the build deck). I am one of those people that do not like dripping, but I exclusively use drippers.

One quick question before going to the RBA section. Isn't RDA annoying since you need to constantly hold the juice bottle and drip in? I prefer RTA, but they say it's more complex. Additionally I'm not very handy in building stuff.
Rta's are more complicated because you generally have less space to work with, and the wicking is much more critical. An rta needs to wick up a lot of juice very efficiently over a little more distance, but with an rda you are dripping right on the coils half the time and they are less finicky, until the coils get crusty anyway.
I dripped exclusively for a year and a half then got into rta's. Loved the flavor and ease of building and wicking on an rda, could change my cotton and burn off my coils leisurely in about 8 minutes. The rta I'm using takes more like 20 for me to rewick....
I did not generally mind the act of dripping and at times enjoyed it as part of the habit, but I don't miss overdripping. Nothing like having a good time and then suddenly getting scalded with hot juice running down your hand...
Ladies and gentlemen, don't drip and drive, or drink and drip...

Unless you have muscle and dexterity problems, building consist of turning a wire around a straight bar of a proper size to make the coil (I recommend spaced coils) and ensuring that it's balanced and has no hot spots, getting the right amount of cotton or other wicking material in the coil and placing it correctly on the deck.

After doing a few, it gets easier and faster unless you can't manage to understand the basics of wicking.

I've been teaching others and after a few tries, they tend to be fine doing it.

See my blog, I have info about building... and that includes a guide to rebuilding cCells.

8 minutes? 20 minutes?..

You have to come on over, I can show you how to do it under 1 to 2 minutes easily. ;)

I have to wonder what RTAs you're using that's this hard to wick...

And some RTAs have great decks that are very easy to build on, as easy as RDAs... heck, some RDAs are plain old horrible to build on (3 posts ones for example).

A note on some previous posts, I use ko gen do cotton pads pretty much exclusively, muji japanese organic cotton was pretty close to the ko gen do, had good luck with native wicks premium blend, and would not buy either of your choices shown above. Way too expensive if those are US $ prices. I won't mess with cotton bacon or most products sold as vape wicking... Look around. It's cheaper in bulk. I bought ko gen do straight from Japan at a good price off ebay and it came with a handwritten thank you note, 2 bags of green tea, and an origami crane, not kidding. 12$ and I forget the exact quantity but it was 80 or 100 pads and I'm still using them a year and a half later.

Just copying the info I placed in another thread:

For rebuilding, you will need a few things that you need to consider....

I'm not a big fan of claptons and pre-built, just plain wire will do...

Coil wire
$9.28 Authentic Vandy Vape 316L Stainless Steel Heating Wire (5-Pack) 5-pack - 26 AWG / 0.4mm dia. / 30ft / 1.7ohm/ft at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Cotton Bacon is known to be a go-to for many with good reason, it's quite fine.. some go with pads (and I use them once in a while), but unless you master the scotch roll, they can be less effective at wicking.

Wink (cotton) and wire cutter
$6.38 Authentic Wick 'N' Vape Cotton Bacon V2 Cotton Wick for E-Cigarettes - max.040" (1mm) dia copper wire / w/ flush cutter / 10pcs/pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Make your own coil has another bonus, you control the size and resistance, and it's just about rolling a wire around a jig (or similar straight pin).

Jig
$6.72 Multi-function DIY Tool Kit for E-Cigarette (11 Pieces) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I wasn't trying to do it as fast as possible like a pit crew at a race lol. I'm talking about cutting cotton, removing old wicks, burning coils and then cleaning ( I use a little spare cotton with a few drops of juice ) then rewicking, trimming, stuffing, mmm juicin it up and firing a couple times, then going to town. Satisfying just thinking about it.
The rda I used the most were a troll v2 25mm with a velocity deck and a velocity clone. Easy decks. The rta that takes me 20 minutes is an Aromamizer plus with a postless deck. Kinda finicky to wick, have to do it just right...

If you like the pads, I bought this years ago:
$8.67 Authentic Puff Rectangle Organic Cotton Wick for RDA RTA RBA Atomizers (200-Piece) 200-pack - 60*50mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It's amazing stuff, but I've barely used it (even though I've used it for at least a hundred coils or more), this is a lifetime supply...:p
