Most of us vape 5ml to 8ml a day. For me, 8ml is on the high side and I notice some irritation from certain juices. More efficient tanks and coil designs lead to higher juice usage, so that's a part of the new technology.

PG and even VG can absorb the moisture from your throat and sinuses. You have to hydrate yourself more to offset that. If you have continued dryness and soreness, especially with a bump that you feel in your throat, see a doctor.

Biotene mouthwash is a frequently used cure for dry mouth and loss of taste around ECF.

When I started, I had a strong nic content. I vaped about 2 draws per 45 minutes. Power was low, too. I didn't have much taste since my taste, tongue, throat were messed up.

I didn't understand what I was doing, but it was a simple system. I was making a big change and just had to ride through it. Since my taste was screwed, I just vaped for the nic.

Things changed over time.

Hmm...yea I think a general consensus is to vape less.

Currently I am using MFS nicotine, originally mixed at 6-7mg. The problem with it was that I was getting a lot of throat irritation, throat hit, and "pepper". I thought it was the PG and went for high VG mixes. The irritation was completely due to the nicotine, reducing it to 3mg solved all irritation, even with a high PG mix.

I have some nude nicotine that I've started using, and mixed a 4mg batch with no problem so far. Will bump it up in .5mg increments. I will see how far I can take the NN, and try ordering samples from VaporTek and Chemnovatic. I've heard good things about both of them, maybe I can get some smooth mixes at higher nicotine and vape less as a result. Thus resolving some of these issues.

I did buy Biotene based on recommendations, but the new one with added mint seems to do more drying than moisturizing.
