A few short months ago I'd have said its definitely worth the money. But now that Vaporshark prices have been heavily slashed along with the slew of DNA40 devices at the $100 range along with Evolv somewhat fixing the firmware on the board, its kind of tough to justify the price.

Its undeniably the best single 18650 mod on the market at the moment, I just don't think its necessarily worth $200 anymore.

Wow.. So you like the vapor shark over the SX? I have heard horror stories over the DNA 40

No, I think he said clearly the SX is about as good as it gets. He reference to the DNA is the significantly lower pricing recently.
With the early DNA issues, slow resolve, no update capability, competing mods - Price drop was the only logical way to keep sales.

SnowWolf is a design concept mod using supplier tech. It will always only be as good as the Chips available.

Just ordered the new IPV-D2 Temp control mod. Runs a Yihi SX130H chip.
75 watts 50J and Ni/Ti modes. Only $42.

I still feel the SX Mini M is far superior and worth the $169. I paid.
Look for the deals - they do come up, but do not last long. $199 is minimum pricing set be Yihi.

The SX Mini M Class was the very first TC mod I purchased. I had actually placed an order for a Vaporshark rDNA40 a week earlier, but while I was waiting for it to be shipped, I picked up the SX at the B&M. The funny thing is out of the 4 TC mods that I have (these two plus the evic-VT and the Snow Wolf), the SX Mini is the one TC mod that I currently do not use the TC atty on.

I've been tempted to pull the trigger on one from time to time. Once in awhile I will see on in the classifieds for $135-150 and I've seen em new for as low as $159 with a 20% coupon around the 4th of July. I just can't get passed the one battery option. I love my vapor flask for the extra battery life. I work outside all day so charging during the day is not an option. Plus, I don't like TC. Nickel wire gives me a nasty sore throat. I should try some Ti wire. I have an EVIC VT as well.

overwhelming majority seems to think yes, and i wholeheartedly agree.

got mine to move away from mechs, mostly for the added safety (ie, ability monitor my build and coil). i don't care too much about all the features (although i do really like and use the powerful, soft, etc. settings), i just want something that works. m-class definitely does not disappoint - there's no misfires, setting changes, or any other wonkiness to speak of, i pick it up, have a great vape, and that's that.

it definitely feels like a nice piece as well. no rattley bits, no cheap plastic parts, everything is nice and solid. i guess time will tell how well it's really built, but i'd put my money on it over most of the cheaper mods any day.

oh, paid $185 us for mine

Is it true that titanium wire can emit titanium dioxide and poinsonate you ?

Yes, if you torch it too much. Either just clean it and use it, or very carefully heat it just to gold or blue first. If you get to white or gray you've oxidized it, and made it potentially unsafe.

Waiting on a custom mod with the same chip as the sx mini.
Have some Ni200 wire , will see how that goes as far as ease of use etc.
Read about tempered or annealed for Nickel if its a pain.
Haven't looked into titanium other than to read about the above issue and its apparent super springiness.

We have quite a long thread on titanium wire and safety in the tc area of APV discussion.

Yes, if you over oxidize a whole roll and swallow it.
Shrimp can kill a person with an allergy.
Lactose in Milk is potentially Deadly.

Ti and almost every other wire have some potential unwanted side effect(when heated improperly), as does the air in any big city, the water in most streams/rivers.

For people with Nickel allergies Ti wire is a good solution. Cleaned Ti wire is available(no torching/dry burning)

Actually, eating it is ok lol. Inhaling fine titanium dioxide dust at occupational frequency of exposure apparently isn't so good. Inhaling what amounts to chunks of titanium dioxide off of an excessively oxidized atty wire, I don't think we know.

I've had mine a few weeks now and I still think it's the best device I've ever had or used, and there have been quite a few over the years. It took awhile before I could justify the price to myself but once I decided to get into TC and could actually use all the features of the M class it was settled.

Before buying mine I've used the SX minis that belong to the guys at the local shop and already knew I'd love how it feels, looks, and performs so there was no worrying about potential buyers remorse because I already knew exactly what I was getting. I truly think it's one of the best APVs out there when it comes to single-battery mods (ignoring the ex. tube) but not everybody really wants to spend the money for the best, and not everybody will be happy with the feel of the device, the single-battery limitation (or the requirement for a goofy extension tube) so whether or not it's worth the price is really a personal choice that has to be made.

ETA:

Forgot to say that the 510 is really, really nice as well. As time goes on having a good quality 510 becomes more and more important to me and the SX Mini is the best I've seen. Perfect threads, nice solid perfectly flat base, strong spring loaded center pin with a long throw so it works great with attys with short and long center pins.

This is a Very deceiving response thanks to marketing and lack of knowledge about specific products.
Start with Build Quality - Which reflects reliability.
Add in Battery replacement vs.(most) having built-in<toss Mod once Dead> lithium batteries.
Shake well with Feature comparisons.
Sautee in Accuracy with just a sprinkle of Upgrade-ability.

Yes, I'm looking toward a low cost TC for out and about. Will it replace the SX mini?
Impossible.

*Note - I own and enjoy using several Cloupor mini's and IPV mini's as well as the others, but they just cannot come close to what the SX mini is capable of even in its basic VW mode.

Oh.........and mine was only $169.15 delivered:D

Whatever floats ya boat B. I just think some companies are juicing some of you for all you got. It seems with all the companies releasing products so fast there will be something just as good for a lot less. I'm just sharing my opinion.
