I know what you mean about taller DTs for the Boxx. My mouth kind of rests on the shelf around the DT when I use my normal size ones with a Boxx. Not sure why.
I like the extra air you get from the Boxx. I've noticed the 510 nut has a wider bore opening that the standard BB and the SXK Delro too.

I use 2.5 coils and the 3.5mm af insert in my Qbix, but you know I like a slightly more restricted draw than you. It's nice running the Orbit more open though - somewhere around 4mm af.

Good to know about the nut. I got the drip tips today, and what a difference a mm or so in height makes!
I was using 13.5mm ones, now I've got a 16mm in there and it's perfect. It's also the right width so that it doesn't overhang the 510 nut:

Hey @Fredman1 and other Orbit users.

I've decided to change up my build from a 2.5 mm fused clapton (Ni80 2-28/36 5 wrap) wrapped clockwise so the legs are on the bottom, to a 3mm ID coil (otherwise same specs) but wrapped counter-clockwise so the legs are on top. Like this:

I wonder if it will help stop any juice getting into the af.
This thing wicks so efficiently that it's always saturated!

Anyway, will let you guys know how it goes.

Yoh Bro. That is one beautiful build. Funny when I built it I was contemplating putting the coil in that way...but I didn't. Now with this side shot, I wanna do that to :D
Man I hope it helps with the leaking.
I've ran through all my RBAs the last few days...Orbit, Qbix, Vapeshell and the Insider. They all leak...at some place or another.

I've been specifically wondering why they leak juice from the back...as all seems to do that. Just took the Insider out and it had nothing in the front, but the back was all wet with juice...not condensation...good ol slippery juice.

    More wick? maybe?
I don't get any leaking from those (got em all), except the Orbit and that's a work in progress for me. The new build is good so far but there are two problems with the Orbit design imo:

One is the gasket. That's a well known issue that we've discussed and been trying to fix. Teflon tape, O ring etc.

The Orbit has a deck with the coil at 90 degrees to the narrow sides instead of at a diagonal like the VapeSnail. It means the wick tails drop down really sharply into the wells. With a design like that, its easy to think you have to thin the wicks to make them fit, but if you do that it'll leak. Also, because the wick tails come so close to the under AF, it's a bit like Kayfun - have to be careful not to let a bit of cotton touch the af hole and drip down.
That's the reason I tried the coil with the legs switched around, so that the wick tails are held up a bit higher from the af.
Also why I'm trying 3mm ID instead of 2.5. Hoping a bit more wick will help.

Niggles aside, it's a great flavour RBA so worth persevering.

I haven't had any leaks from my orbit clone since I put two wraps of teflon tape under the gasket. 2,5 mm coil and I don't thin the cotton. I'm using labo cotton puffs pads mostly now and don't even pull the outer layers off, it's all cotton anyways, I just fluff it and stuff it.:)

Yeah when I say leak, I mean not much...just enough to piss me off. The Insider and Qbix for instance don't leak at all in the front...but taken out there's juice at the rear (a squeezed drop or two)...bizarre. Never could figure that out.
Id be very interested to see how exactly you fitted the teflon vape @borno
I don't see much space down there to lay the tape. Does the glass actually bed down on the tape?
A photo or two might even be better :thumb:

I'm talented enough to get the Qbix leaking through the AF hole!

But I think that was too much cotton on the deck and stuffing up the seal. Now that I'm cutting my tails on both sides (thanks to Mr @Pigs), it's 100% better.

But I do get juice or condensation or whatever it is, on the back of the tank. Since it's not gushing, I've been ignoring it.

It's a fact of life with boro devices. I think the amount of condensation depends on how you vape. I get a little with most RBAs but it doesn't bother me. I remember Todd saying in one of his reviews that he gets more condensation than some people because he doesn't inhale all the vapour and the stuff he leaves behind turns into condensation.

I never thought about how a boro box is essentially containing a tank inside the mod, until I noticed how cool to touch the Boxx was after me chain vaping.

So it makes it even more sense that BB condensation is a fact of life.

I took out the gasket and pulled the tape around 2 wraps and trimmed with a razor then put the gasket back. They really need a little thicker gasket IMO I used the blue heavy duty teflon also

Thanks mate...i'll remember that. For now i'm content as its only a little sliver of juice along the bottom line of the glass...every now and again.

I tried @borno 's solution of a strip of teflon tape under the gasket.
Works great - better than the O ring.
The only Plumber's (PTFE/Teflon) tape I have is the pink colour.
Not sure I love the look but practicality wins every day of the week. :?:

It will be more matchymatchy if you give Bludger the same colour nails.

Just to clarify...do you take the o ring off, wind two winds tape on, then put the o ring back over the tape again...kicking the o ring out some?
