SXmini Q Class Powered by YiHi SX450 Chip Part 2

Interesting, I wasn't aware of 2 different blacks in China. Titanium is pretty dark, so the darker color must be black.

Had 2 types of "black" Q listed, when I asked, the vendor sent me 2 pictures. 1 showing the normal retail "silver" body, the other showing a darker body. Vendor says material are the same for both. This vendor is a reputable one and was the youtube video poster showing the 1st retail version of the Q in red so I'm taking his/her word.

I'm hoping the one I ordered from VapeRev is the normal retail version. No way for me to check till months later since I had it shipped to LA and won't be visiting any time soon.

I know the sample units YIHI sent out had a silver body but the retail units have a titanium body. Maybe the vendor who sent you photos has some sample and retail units. The sample units say not for sale on the bottom though.

So, now that folks are getting the Q, what else can we talk about except the dual battery configuration and the new form factor/enclosure features. The Q sports a new SX450 board, so what new features does the SX450 bring that aren't available with the SX350J V2 board in the ML?

Yep you can see different numbers being advertised. There is no Specification Sheet from Yihi to compare to the 350J sheet so it is still a mystery I guess...

Both mini ml and q measure resistance down to four decimal places so .0001. I just got my brown q today in the mail. I like it a lot so far. It's very similar to my sx mini ml. Without batteries the q seems lighter than the ml. Battery doors fit nice and tight with magnets.

Specification Sheet for the 350J V2 doesn't say .0001 ohms... unless I'm reading it wrong...

Well both of my mine show four decimal places on all ohm readings. The ml and q both look and work the same when I hold both buttons down. My q says .2983 right now.

Oh, you mean it can measure your resistance out to 4 decimal places. We were talking about resistance ranges of atomizer coils...

Reading resistance to 4 decimal places and firing a .0001 ohm coil are two completely different things. @David247 was talking about the Q originally being advertised to support TC coils down to .0001. Heck my IPV3 Li reads 3 decimal places and will only fire down to .05 in TC.

Personally, I don't see why anyone would want to be able to fire at .0001. I also don't see why Yihi was originally advertising it as such.

The Q supports all Atomizers with SX Pure technology. Anybody rocking one and what is your experience?

yihi's pretty strict about their msrp. If you do find it for less than $199.99 its prob due to some vendor's promotional discount. Every single vendor on Taobao has the same MRSP for this mod and theres close to 20 of them.

That's good to hear. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. After using mine for 4 days now I have to say I love mine. It's the best mod I ever owned. My poor ML is just collecting dust. I'm even thinking of getting rid of it. The design of the Q feels so much better in my hand than the ML did. It's also very pocket friendly. Before I got the Q I though it would be too big for my pocket and I would just use it at home and my ML for out and about. I was wrong the Q fits just fine and with the longer battery life it's a better choice for at home and out and about mod. I'm thinking this might be my last new mod since mods after August will have to be approved by the FDA and I'm not sure what the market of anything new is going to be like after that. I'm just glad the Q came out before August.

I got my Q a couple days ago, and although it's built beautifully, I don't think it's for me. Just not crazy about the size of it. I love my MLs, so I think this Q will be going in the classies in the next day or two. I'll probably just pick up another ML to replace it. Oh well...

Sounds like your wife is like me. I'm not a hoarder either. I always get rid of mods I don't use anymore. When the FDA rules fully kick in I may buy a few Q's to have hand or whatever is the greatest in 2 years. I'm not going to panic like others are until I see whats going on.
