This is what happens when a tankful of Raspberry Cupcake e-liquid spills inside the pocket of your favorite expensive handbag :(

GAH!! That's not a Louis Vuitton bag is it?!!! Eek, you must be having a fit over it, I sure would. Well, aside from dabbing up all extra juice from the surface, all I can think of is to pour something on there to absorb what may be soaked into the canvas....maybe salt? Let the salt absorb it, carefully remove the salt, and repeat until no more is absorbed....hmmmm...is it soaked through to the outside? You might want to call a LV store as well, and see what they recommend. So sorry that happened! NO MORE tanks IN THERE MISSY!!!

I once put a plastic clamshell-to-go container of fresh bread pudding with cream inside of my brand new (at that time) D&B Florentine Satchel, the most I had ever spent on a bag---well, it was just going to ride home in there, since I had my hands full of other stuff....when I got home, you guessed it, bread pudding w/cream all over the inside of my new bag and everything in it. Little did I know that Dooney put a water resistant lining inside that bag, and it all wiped out with a damp washrag. Shwew! Good luck!

Hi, Scarf, nice to meet you! :) I do stuff like that to ALL my bags, which is why I never spend much money on them!

Two options I can think of -- club soda takes red wine out of carpet, it might just take raspberry juice out of your purse. I'd say use a cloth that's wet but not sopping and blot, blot, blot. The other thing I think of immediately is one of the Oxy cleaners -- I've hardly found anything it won't take out.

Good luck! :)

And Zooker, I second CES' motion -- come hang out in TWR! :)

Thanks everyone for the tips. I have been trying the baking soda and salt tricks with middling success. I bought this LV as a reward to myself for achieving a goal. I do enjoy using it a lot and it is my favourite throw-everything-in-it big bag, but I am also conscious of the resale value in case I ever want to trade it in. The stain is not affecting my enjoyment of the bag now, but it will probably kill the resale factor.

And yes, tanks now stay at home or travel securely wrapped in a waterproof bag. Lesson duly learned

Zooker, I bet your bag smelled lovely after spilling banana pudding.... for a day LOL.

By the way, I'm glad there is a Women's Room where I can post this. A man would simply not understand...and would probably start berating me about spending $xx on a designer handbag in the first place LOL. (As if they haven't got any pricey habits...)

Your empathy is noted and appreciated :):)

I have a Louie, a couple of Dooneys and a Brahmin...wanna know how I clean them ?

I am brutal...I take them to the kitchen sink and use the water sprayer and dish liquid, have even used oxy-clean solution...to rinse, I put my hand in the bag & hold it upside down and spray up inside.
Alcohol dabbing if any ink.
My bags and liners look brand new.

The Louie was a hand me up from my little sister...was all yucky inside from "Mommy stuff"...clean as can be now.

Occasional polishing of the leathers...

but that's just me...

Wow Classwife, you are hardcore! Gulp.

But you gave me an idea...there is this paste cleaner called Gumption that I'd never heard of until I moved to Australia. It works really well (I use it when I've dripped hair dye on the bathroom sink) and now I am keen to try it on the e-liquid stain.
