Love the fact my dh is a dentist. Easy to acquire my supply of 3cc syringes. Only question...what size works best for y'all? 18, 20 or 21? Thx!!

18 seems to be the favorite size. If you are into VG, I have read l4 or l6 is good.
18 is great for most juices, it's a little rough with straight vg and other thicker juices but still works Ms. Brandigayle. 
18 works for me for most juices, but as others have said with heavier VG juices it's tough to get the juice from the bottle into the syringe with 18. For those heavier juices (like 60pg/40vg) I use 14 gauge. Just gotta be really careful trying to use that large a needle when filling the carto...
What do you do jb to get that 14 in there, put a finish nail or something in between the pfill and the carto housing first?
Brandi just a friendly heads up on using a syring....you'll notice the atomizer wire come up out of the middle of the cart and make u-turn back to the base. Try and insert your needle away from where that wire goes back down into the polyfill material. It is the ground wire for the atomizer and is connect via a tiny solder to the base of the carto. It is possible to separate to break the solder connection it you move it too much while inserting the needle.
Syringe filling is the fastest, cleanest, and most effective way to fill cartos....no doubt. Also a great way to top off cartos and will cut down on the amount of burnt cartos greatly if not completely. Lately the my atomizers are giving out before my cartos are getting burnt and you really can ask for much more than that.

oops sorry mr. snow that didn't come out right, did it? lol I use the 14 just to get thick juice out of the bottle and up into the syringe...then switch to an 18 for filling the cartos. You're right the 14 would be tough to get in between the wall and the filler!
And again, this isn't with v4l juice -- with their juices I use your trick of sticking the needle in through the bottle's dropper cap and it works fine...unfortunately not all juice vendors' bottles work that way

You can always block the needle end with a tied up teflon tube or rubber plug, pop out the plunger and squirt the juice in that end. Tip the syringe up, remove plug and depress plunger until air is gone, replace plug for storage.
Oh, well thank you Harmony! So do you always use a syringe or can you just drip from bottle? The hubby is gonna crack up if I start buying those too. He's already shakin his head at all the other "stuff" now in the house!

I don't use the syringe method anymore. I used to, but found it too troublesome *ducks*. I just drip straight from the bottle into the mouth end of the carto (with the rubber piece removed). Let it settle a bit and then drip more until it doesn't look dry anymore. If I overfill I turn the carto upside down on the top of the bottle, give the bottle a squeeze, push it right up on the filler and suck the extra juice back into the bottle. Works much better for me! But everyone has their own preference. I'd say just find what works for you and stick with it!
Hi Sag, just to let you know there is indeed a very easy and effective way to fill cartomizers call the The Drip Method. In this video I am filling brand new Cartos, I do suggest that if you are refilling used Cartos to place either a .... plug condom or coned condom on the battery end just in case you have burnt cartomizer which will result in juice leaking out the battery hole. As well, it's always a good idea to check the air tube in the Carto after filling to make sure there is no residual juice in it by holding up to the light and giving a visual check. If there juice in the Air Tube simply squeeze the bottle a little, place the carto upside down, align the air tube over the dropper tip and release the pressure from the bottle. The vacuum will simply suck the residual juice right back into the bottle.

On occassion you may find some new blank Cartomizer come with tightly wound polyfill which doesn't seem to absorb e-liquid easily. On those occasions you can perform a Taryn Spin which will force the e-liquid into the Cartomizer. This is also a handy technique to removing juice or removing water as a part of the drying process after rinsing Cartos out.

In the Taryn Spin video you will see me speed fill a Carto with a 10-10-5 pattern of dripping......however I have filled hundreds. So just stay with the directions from the Drip Filling Vidoe which is the initial 5 in circle pattern...then hold the carto steady at 45 degree angle..drip 3 and let it absorb...drip 3 let it absorb (repeating 5-6 times) and most importantly dripping on the inside of the Carto housing.
Syringe filling is great at home, Drip Filling is great all the time, the Taryn spin is effective when needed, and the Condom Filling Method is the WORST method ever to plague the vaping world. As well, there is no wait time involved, when a Carto is filled it is instantly ready to be vaped.

I use the Taryn spin also it works great, and it works in reverse to get your good juice back out of a dead carto also. Its great in reverse to help dry out a carto after cleaning, its amazing how much water you will get out of the carto. Just put the mouth piece down without the cap and spin. Another trick when you fill the carto and it quits wicking, is to flick it down like you would a thermometer and then add more until it stops wicking and stop.
This trick really does work, try it.
