I think you got a problem with a chargeer try clean the thread on charger and wipe threads on your batts or get a new charger (preferably T-rex mega chager, it designed for ego and t-rex and charges your batts in 1.5 hours) and see if it make any difference. Goodluck

P.S if you get new t-rex charger do not charge any regular batarries on it only 650mah or 1200 mah.

One of my Trex batteries just died too. I really love the t-rex so I'm very disappointed. I've cleaned the charger & the threads, and even tried my Ego's charger. Nothing. The green light on the charger stays on (never goes to red). The batt is dead as a doornail. Mine is only 3 weeks old, so it's a shame. I hope there is a solution - perhaps someone else knows about this..

I bought a 900mAh T-rex kit a few weeks ago from sterling vapor. One of the batteries died on me after a week of use using regular atty's, not LR (same thing, charged it but will not turn on/blink or anything even though the charger shows green) I'm getting a replacement sent to me here soon but my second battery is another issue.

I ended up dropping the t-rex (about waist height ~ 3 feet) on the floor for the first time after 3 weeks of use. The switch was incredibly loose and would turn on constantly without me pressing it. Soooo I was pretty ticked with these things, took that one apart, and found the little microswitch on the board was broke and completely useless :(

I LOVE the look and feel of these PV's but within less than a month they're shot (The 2nd battery was admittedly my fault but I would expect better/longer endurance from an $80 PV). I've noticed everyone seems to be having issues so I'll use the replacement battery until it dies and stick with the eGo from then on. If they start making a more reliable unit I'll come back to it but it seems like these models are not great quality unfortunately.

P.S. The 900 mAh battery lasts the same amount of time as my 650 mAh eGo battery... Probably because of the draw from the light ring but I thought it was an interesting note for anyone who was comparing

Sometimes my T-rex won't start charging either on the charger that i bought with it. When that happens i plug into my standard 510 usb charger and it starts charging. Charging this way takes longer since that charger only outputs 150mah. I also took apart the charger that i bought with the t-rex and pulled on the battery connector so that it sticks out a little bit further to make a better connection with the battery. I was also told to nudge the center connector on the battery. Doing one of these steps will charge the battery , it is a big pain so i dont use that battery as much.
Hope this helps

UPDATE; My "dead as a doornail" T-Rex battery inexplicably started working again. I accidently bumped it when I reached in the drawer and the light came on, and it worked perfectly. It also took to the charger and is now functioning again. So-what sort of magic is this?? It worked 3 weeks, then lay dead 3 weeks, and is now working like nothing ever happened. I figure it must have gotten liquid inside that eventually evaporated or something. Oh well. I won't question the battery Gods...

Hey!

I have a few T-Rex's because I opted for the ring light over the classic eGo light.

So here's the common issue with the T-Rex. The connector used on the T-Rex is actually a little longer than classic eGo batteries.

To fix this, you can either file/grind the tube of the battery down..
OR (much easier way)
Use a paper clip or needle-nose pliers to gently pull the "center post" inside the battery (it's the little circular metal piece with the white o-ring around it. The center post will actually lift up in order to make a solid connection with your charger and or atty.

I had to do this when I tried using Type B eGo-T atty's with the T-Rex batteries.

Please! Be careful when you do this. I'm not sure if it can come out completely, but I wouldn't recommend attempting to do so. Just give it small pulls/pushes upwards under both sides and attempt to use your atty each time you do so.

Soon it should get a solid connection and it will work! If not.. your battery is dead. But in my experience batteries slowly die out and not all at once. (So this may explain the problem if it does)
