I don't know if this will work...maybe you can tell me...I have so many clearos...that I wont use any more..im thinking of busting a old clero open...and get the wicking from in there...do you think that will work bixll...im finding those top 2 wicks in the t3s get very gunk looking stain...even after a good clean...I don't no where to buy 2m wick from here in oz....so maybe those old wicks from cleros will do..

I've just realized I suck at dry burning. Every time I try and dry burn anything I end up making it taste worse. But, I've read a lot of people say it will work fine without the loose top wicks.

Even with 1 wick missing, mine tended to leak when below 1 ml. That is with 70/30 PG/VG. I guess for high VG juice, it might be ok. I'm gonna bench this coil assembly, and use a fresh one for now.

Right after dry burning, rinse it out well. Usually, it works great. I've also noticed that the coil does not build up a ton of gunk like my CE3's.

If you have any old si cartos around pull one apart. Inside there is a stiff core around the coil that is wrapped in a cotton material. The cotton part makes a great wick. I used them all the time rebuilding my clearos. I cut them into 3 small strips, twisted individually and then braided it into a wick.

:2cool: as bizzar1...ive got heaps of old carts....and new ones...ill never use...great tip....ill put them to use now...

I get the gurgling, and slight leaks around 1 ml no matter what juice I use. Just happens as there's less of a force on that seal.

yeah same here...pour left overs in bottle...wash head....let dry....grab a new one....ive got 2o heads on rotation...10 t3s filled ....wow vape life so much easier....after using for 3wks....only 3 heads have bit the dust....ill try new top wicks...if that don't work....put away in cupboard till I learn to rebuild....some great utube vids on rebuilding...but ive got about 30% right...not sure with wire yet how to do right,,plus I need one of those amp voltage readers...not sure what to call them....plus not sure where to buy wire or wick ...

On new heads, I toss the loose wicks right off the bat. The loose stuff gets replaced with 2mm wick and has worked fine. My early October head is still kicking with only hot water rinsing and a few dry burns. When I have the head pulled apart for cleaning, the 2mm wick always gets replaced. It's cheap and easy.

While cleaning a T3, I lost the top flavor wick. I have seen people mention what can be used to replace them, but I can not find the thread now. Anybody help me out with what to use?

Many vendors sell silica and/or fiberglass wicking for rebuildable atomizers. I've seen threads where they mention that you can get it by the yard on eBay, too. There have been several recommendations for using pure cotton, too. Not sure which of those three are used in T3s, though.

I lost the wicks right down the sink the first time I rinsed the T-3. The same thing happened with another rebuildable clearo I have. I couldn't believe how flimsy these wicks were.

I always have one or more crochet projects going on, so I replaced the wicking with 4-ply cotton thread that I had on hand. After I laid it in, I untwisted the thread so I have 4 little wicking threads on each side. It works better than the original.

BTW, this is a natural unbleached thread. I would not recommend using any colored yarn or thread. Just saying.
