Ok i usually use the drip or cotton cartos. i like the cotton cartos but seems like here lately i keep getting bad batches of them and they gunk up on me, or when i go to load them they dont absorb like they have and flood, so i wanted to try something were there was no dripping involved but the 2 tanks ive purchased so far have been very disappointing. the first one we got (im not even sure what type/brand it was) but you fill it from the top and the wick is at the top -disposable tank, we were not getting much flavor nor vap from it so we tossed it in a drawer. the 2nd one i just got is a tabac bcc, fill from bottom wick at bottom. first time i used it i had little flavor and was like sucking air. its very whistly. i emptied it- dried it out and tried again, this time it is crackling... i am very careful about how i fill it none goes in the middle etc. am i doing something wrong or what??? i want this to work so bad, and dont mind dripping if im at home but would like something that i dont have to worry about when im on the go.. we have been off cancer sticks since june 2012 and VERY happy we have not looked at one since bc were so happy with our vapes =) just trying to figure out the tank thing~ i see people talk about punching holes and im so confused what that means, is that why i get the sucking air feeling from a tank? is the hole on the inside outside? huh  lol sorry for all the dumb questions, im sure there are several threads that can relate to this but ive been searching through them for several nights and finally decided just to post and ask. Thanks for any responses

No dumb questions here. If I understand your post correctly you were using cartomizers before. They are metal. Next you went to the Tobac Bcc. That is a clearomizer. When you hear people talking about punching holes they are talking about doing it to cartomizers(not clearomizers like the tobac) so they can use them in cartomizer tanks. What brand of cartomizers were you using that you started getting bad ones of?

I got the Tabac BCCs too. They are not punchiest things in terms of flavor.

As far as the airiness is concerned, this can be adjusted by tightening the clearo down a little more. Also make sure the coil's grey o-ring seal is properly bottomed in place and tightened well to the clearo. I have never heard them being whistly.

The crackling is a weird anomaly. 2 things. If the PV and clearo get too hot, gurgling/cracking sometimes just start up. What I usually do to remedy that after letting it cool down a bit is simply remove the coil, wipe it down and then screw it back on again ... and often it's just gone.

Although I like those clearos, better than half the coils go bad only after a couple of days, which makes them a bit expensive overall.

I have several batteries  i have 2 of the ejoy that has 2 settings and off one is a short battery the other is alil longer. (not sure what the settings are on it lol) hubby says the one it is on is the higher setting.. i usually dont mess with the settings just because i really dont get the point of using a lower setting aside from saving battery life~ then i have 3 backups 1- short ejoy regular battery, and 2- 510 slim(looks like a cig). We had alot of trial and error when we first started out.

~ hello world - i did as you said and its still same problems... im wondering, there are 3 tiny holes on the casing that attaches it to the battery would that be the reason for the airy pull i get maybe ? hmm when i cover them with my fingers the whistling and cracking seem to stop or not as evident... is there a way to cover these??

Hi VP.

I have never looked into that because mine do not have that problem.

I would imagine plugging a hole with a toothpick could work.

Also, some minor crackling can be heard from the BCC atomizer and varies between juices -- this is just normal.
