Since ECF has both a classifieds section (a priviledge and perk) for ECF members to buy and sell ecig related stuff, as well as PIF (Pay It Forward) areas where we swap and also give stuff away, there is a certain level of SECURITY that we enjoy here.
Therefore, any user signing in needs to have an identity.
If you are worried about giving yours, then don't sign up.
Thank goodness this forum is so well-moderated by people who care enough to give their time to keep this place a safe, secure, and trustworthy internet forum where trolls and spammers and rip-off artists are discouraged by the sign up process.
Not saying you are any of those things, of course, but most of us ENJOY the extra level of protections we receive here, and which is the hallmark of a safe internet forum.
