There's nothing wrong with drinking at 10:30 am! Hell, when I was unemployed, I sometimes had wine instead of coffee! That said, there's a couple who live in my apartment complex who make fresh tamales and sell them for $1.25 each. That was the BEST part of my period of joblessness. But now that I'm back to work, they sell them while I'm at the shop. :( Those were the BEST tamales I've ever had. Also, the word "BEST" shall always be capitalized........apparently. ...I want tamales.

my mom use to make those during xmas for people for like $3.50 a dozen (it was the 80's). those things are a pain in the ... to make. depending on if you go the cheap route and use ground up beef and pork, or you just cook the whole pigs head outright and then grind it down. nonetheless, the big thing is the consistency of beef to masa ratio is what makes a good tamale in most cases. i will never ever help my aunts do those things ever again after the hell they put me through as a kid making those things. now i just eat them every xmas along with every other baked good my aunt makes.

never really understood why some were made with raisins though.

funny thing is, as gross as this sounds, i love eating them with ketchup. (its a either you hate it or you love it thing)

Experts are looking to find a replacement for the taco. A new forum is to be opened up to help people with taco addiction. A survey showed that when attempting to answer questions regarding taco addiction they couldn't speak because their mouths were full.

Unfortunately, the anti-taco zealots have already petitioned Congress for laws prohibiting tacos and the gaseous byproducts. The EPA has indicated a willingness to enact rules limiting the gaseous output that results from eating tacos and related foods. On the brighter side, there are cottage industries that are exploring ways to recycle gaseous taco byproducts. One of the most promising is a method to use the "gas" as a fuel octane booster as you're driving.

Would add a whole new meaning to word 'backfire'.

You know the FDA are looking to regulate tacos !.

You know they'll never be able to regulate Tacos, most of the ingredients are food grade and you an buy them at the 7-ll. I'm going to learn how to DIY so I'll never be without tacos, tacos forever!

They already do. However, some people are still deprived of them. Too expensive. The major players are spending a lot of money for unnecessary advertising and it ups the price. And all the middle men (cheese makers, tortilla makers, etc) all get their cut. They charge more to the taco vendors, forcing them to pay more. Then there's all the taco lawsuits. And the taco vendors are testing blood for traces of cumin. They won't hire you if you don't eat tacos with cumin. Or if you're overweight. Sigh. Call Congress. We need an ATA... ;)

Don't forget to buy some RBTS (rebuildable taco shells). You want to be sure that if they ban sale of taco shells, you can always rebuild your used ones.

I think I've got this covered, I just ordered one of these;

I'll probably need some navies to grind the grist though. Anyone want to work for taco shells?

I just love all of the love in this thread!! Way to come together all of you wonder and amazing folks!!
So I told the hubby about this thread and, well, he said "you must share this with the good people here"!
Now this is not the kind of thing I would do, and I never do what my husband tells me to do. But darn it, I am sure there must be some spam in there somewhere!!
