@dems86 it would be more portable if you removed the battery and extension tube..just carry around the top portion.

I say this because I hate you for having that combo and not me.
You're right, I could just pop a straw in and drink it :D

I've just received (from FT) GT-T V2, tank, Acrylic, Red (top refill) / SKU: 2252403

2252403-3.jpg

I gave it an appalling review (since deleted it seems) as I just can't get it working at all.

It arrived with the central chimney push fitted into the tank. I checked the red O rings fitted nicely into the GT-T's top cap - which they did and were good for length too. I assembled everything, closed the AFC and top filled. Errr.. I didn't use a needle filler :(, I just rammed a skinny nose juice bottle against the fill O ring and squeezed. It leaked, badly. juice poured out of the AFC ring. As I thought it would.
I turned the tank upside down with the top plate (on the left in the pic) still on ('cos I'm not stupid ) and started unscrewing it. Half a turn and the remaing juice in the tank poured out. That push fit chimney had detached from its seating. I hadn't anticipated that.

I've just glued the chimney in place, while it dries I thought I'd just ask:

Has anyone used this thing successfully?

My experience with it was equally as disastrous. My push fit chimney came in the bag not even installed. When I installed it and it did not seem to fit snugly I was worried. Filled it anyway. Of course it all leaked and when I tried to take it apart..well..juice everywhere. I ordered 3 of these. I am collecting a nice little bag of junk to send back to Fasttech which includes the glass and metal nightmare tank that I cannot get to work without leaking and I stupidly bought 4 MORE bags of Orings to use on it.
My epitaph should read "she was forever in search of the proper Oring"

^^^ I'm always happy when I know I'm not alone! Thanks for that.

Ecclesiastes 7:28 :
Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: I have a thousand O rings but never the right one.
Or something like that :)

There should be a 20 x 1 mm o-ring at each end of the glass sleeve. You shouldn't be able to turn the glass once assembled as shown, if you can turn the glass inside of the tank when assembled the glass is too short.

It is the bottom one I cannot get in place and even still I think the glass is too short.

Is that some sort of alternate tank for the Taifun?

This horrible pic is of an FT https://www.fasttech.com/p/2252403 top fill tank sitting atop an https://www.fasttech.com/p/2234302 base.
After gluing the push fit chimney into the tank (see earlier post) I did get the thing working. But only if I bottom fill it! Top filling is still a disaster - it's more trouble than bottom filling as half the juice pops out of the fill hole even with a needle nose filler (you need a really long needle which I couldn't be bothered to find). And it then gurgles anyway. The base, on the other hand is good except that the sliding chimney was a bit loose on the O ring.
If you're interested, the mod is a DIY Hana Modz style enclosure with a DNA40 big screen and a Fat Daddy 510. (It's the best thing in the picture - even if I do say it myself!)

what kind of glue did you use? I bought one because it was pink and then before I tried it I bought another pink one and then one blue one for boyfriend. Was going to send them all back

My worst fear has been realized. I cannot find my ever increasing bag of orings, a mail order envelope with 20-30 different smaller zip locked envelopes inside. I fear that I threw it in the trash. Not above going out to dig but the trash was picked up this morning.
I place more value on that these days than I do my bags of gold or coins

Let's not get crazy now, a bag of gold coins? I'd get more nervous about that. LOL

Well, got the Taifun GT2 , contemplated for a while and instead of waiting till late night when things are calm, I set it up just now and it was easy. It performs so nice. I set it up with the Steam Tuners clear tanks and no leaks so far and with the OEM drip tip.

Really a keeper.

Good call, it's a quick and easy setup [emoji14]

Had a feeling you were gonna like it ;)

BTW, isn't that ST tank a total looker?

I just used an industrial cyanoacrylate super glue. Not exactly a healthy option but I did keep checking in the mirror to make sure my lips weren't going blue and I wasn't foaming at the mouth - well, no more than normal at any rate.
Do send them back, the only thing you'll be misssing is frustration and annoyance!

'Sfunny, on my vaping table right now is a mail order bag filled with many ziploc bags of O rings. I'm sure it's mine though, honest.
