Alright, finally got a chance to set this baby up. Its been a long , hot, humid miserable day full of errands and apts. My nerves were shattered.

I finally got home, wined down, had some coffee, a long hard vape. Finally got my nerves steady. Washed and dried. Cut the mesh ( 1cm by 6 and a bit cm rolled around a .75 bit), made a coil 2.9ish? diameter), built it like in this video:

So far so good. I find that the I usually have to go thru about a tank till the taste on the mesh mellows to neutral. I think the flaming of it creates a "taste" .

I only use the air control on the lower AFC and its airy with all holes , so dialed it back to 3. HATED the drip tip, its bigger and just awful to me. Slapped on one of favorites and much better.

So far its good. No dry hits, and Im putting it thru my "tests" to make sure it does not seep or flood.

I love the looks, easy to build. It does 5ml with no problem.

Took a couple picts. The wick holes are the same size as my GSII. I think they did just make it bigger but since they did not have the actual GSL they forgot to adjust the wick holes. No big deal as Roxy found, she just doubled the amount of mesh.

Its sitting on my GP X and looks great. I will take a more formal photo shoot tomorrow. Its too dang hot and humid to set up a proper camera. iPhone will have to do. I hope this helps someone out there. Im not the best reviewer or "teacher"

how on earth do you take such beautiful photos with your iphone?!?! I am constantly amazed by your talent as a photographer! Wow :)

I just tried again. Maybe I'm not strong enough. I've pushed and pushed.

I know. When my grandson gets home, I'll have him try it. He can get a lot of things to work that I just don't have the strength to DON'T
I'll let you know.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was off emptying most of my Inbox. Did they suddenly lower the limits of the Inbox or something?

Don't you push it down when changing wicks? Push it all the way down and then when you pull up only pull it part way. Practice with no juice in the tank and you can see how far it needs to be by watching to see when the oring slips inside the chamber cap

It should push up and down. Maybe you need to put a little juice on the oring to help it slide

Its in my genes, ( dad is an amazing photographer) plus I worked in the photo finishing industry for 10 years and art reproduction. I got to see many great photographers, got to make their photos better and ready for digital output. Looked at thousands of early photo masters works while convalescing about 8 years ago and started with my iphone. Dad gave me one of his "old Nikon Digitals" . Then I went nuts with it. Read about the basics, took some classes, then went against all the rules ( to a point) and got hooked.

Having beautiful vape gear inspires, since I love to photograph metals, and highly reflective subjects helped.

Thanks for the compliment, makes me blush

I haven't put a build in it yet. I just took it out of the package to look over the parts before washing it out.

My GT slides up and down with no problem. But, the GT-T V2 won't budge. I did put some juice on it to help. I must have pushed it in crooked the first time. So, it's jammed down in there crooked, I suppose.

I added a little more juice and will try again periodically. Until it either works or I give up. I hope I didn't break it.

DWCraig had a tip once and I tried it and it works. Chamber cap on and no coil. Slip a jewelers screwdriver through the wick channels and wiggle it loose that way

Ooooh, oooh, oooh! I got it!!!

Everything is lined up and in working order! Now I just need to wash it and it'll be ready to go! :)

Thank you for your patience.
Great I answered you before I read on further. You must have a slightly big oring. Next time oil (juice) good. Or change the oring

Udate...

I had to make new straws, it was not leaking nor seeping, but it was not making as much clouds as GT or GS 2, it was gurgling. I made a pair of mesh straws, 1cm x 3cm wrapped around .60 drill bit. Lowered resistance to .89? and re-wicked with more wick than last time.

So far so great. Great taste, better clouds. I dont really know why one would have to use more mesh and have a smaller wick hole from what I use in my GS, but its feeding well , no dry hits. Taste is right up there with the GT2 and GS2.

I love the looks and how it takes more liquid and is not as long as the GT2. I also like the tank design better than the GT2. I wish they would have designed a more simple window design like the GT1.

Not exactly the same thing, but got my Hurricane clone yesterday. Just set it up. I'm going to reserve my opinion while I torture test though. It hasn't dry hit, but I feel like its thinking about it. Which I didn't expect with Taifun type chamber and wicking. We'll see.

I just ran the wick tails through the slots and clipped them close to the outside of the chamber.

2.4mm 27g coil, 1 ohm, running 16.5W. This juice tasted funky higher though that's a coil I normally run around 18W in other attys. Have 2nd largest airhole open.

Hasn't dry hit. Just feel like it could. It has just a bit of an edge to it.

You should really try the method I describe, I first started doing it with the TGT, then the TGTII, works so much better, and much more consistent. Normally I run Taifun type tanks around 1 ohm 20 watts, but Built this with some .26 gauge 316 stainless, not sure if its the Hurricane, or the Stainless but the juice tastes much cleaner. I'm a bit surprised wicking kept up at nearly 40 watts. Had to change drip tips though, my normal stubby tip was to hot.

What's the advantage to wicking it that way? I was thinking that might help more if you're getting gurgles?

I'm not happy with how I'm wicking though. I'll be changing something here.
