I don't mind straight glass as much as the proprietary plastics, especially when they are caged, chances are fairly good another atomizer uses same size. But yea, I do agree spare glass is a must have. Funny thing is I've never broken one when I have spares, but no spares for me = it WILL break. If it ends up being a favorite can always source it from IBT.

As long as it is machined well it should be pretty decent.

Same here. No extra tanks and I will break it. I'm the person Murphy's laws were written about.

If anyone is still looking for a TGT2 Tobeco TAIFUN GT 2 RBA REBUILDABLE ATOMIZER TOBECO CLONE Coupon Code= "50CLEARANCE" Puts it in your cart for under $9 and if you get the total to $20 before coupon code it also ships free. Everything in the clearance section is half off, but its getting fairly picked over.
I just ordered one of these and the code is still good! Thanks so much!

Heh, I was wondering the same thing. Didn't find it at the usual places, but I did spot it on Alibaba.

Storm RTA

And just to confuse things here is a third "Storm". Comes with an RBA cartridge that is very reminiscent of the GT style but it vapor locks. So out to the shop sometime to visit the milling machine...

I had one in the past but leaking was a constant issue. I am going to give it another try once my GT2 makes it here this Saturday as my FT ordered one won't be here for awhile, but hey backups are always good to have, I am trying to learn off of youtube videos as people in local shops are clueless or won't even try to help with building a coil/wick setup

B&M folks mostly just know how to build RDAs.

Falco78, I really wouldn't suggest watching those youtube builds of taifuns, unless someone can point you to one that does not put the tails through the slots I shelved all mine until I learned to wick them the easy way. Not saying it cannot be done, however wicking is finicky at best. Leave those tails long, tuck the ends into the deck, .... the shoulders against the wick slots and your done. Simple, fast, effective, and no trying to figure out that perfect amount poking through the holes.

The most finicky wicking Taifun I have is an XXL, believe it is 30mm, even that wicks perfectly using the mentioned method.

Well I have been doing it "old school" and I like to think that I'm pretty good at it (should be anyways).
So I get the wife's TGT2 and build with the tails inside, seems to be real easy and works good.
So after locating my other one I build a Ti coil so I can really see what going on in EScribe's live view, all good there too.
Please don't be offended by my terminology but it is pretty much fool proof.

OK, I ordered a couple of those Tobeco GT2"s for cheap too.
Still a few left.
TAIFUN GT 2 RBA REBUILDABLE ATOMIZER TOBECO CLONE
That's "50CLEARANCE" for 50% off, I got free shipping too.
Just got 4 of these in yesterday, They look well machined and functional, no extra tanks come with them. They are going in my emergency stash, for the price I can always use em for spare parts. I really like the fastec hotcig GT II s they are very nice. Thanks for the heads up on these.

HA! I did the exact same thing after reading that post. I build mine old school too, tails out. I rounded up all three and built them with tails tucked in. So far so good, but the other was working good for me too

LMAO... Great minds eh? After I read that, I did the same... Pulled out my afc slotted gt2, did a ss 316L coil, rayon (2 materials I don't usually use) made the wick long, rolled and tucked it inside the chamber in front of the holes, primed, filled and Vape. Seems to be working great... Any better than the other way (wicks poking out)? I don't "think" so? But I've built my Taifun so many times and with so many wicking materials (mesh, silica, ekowool, yarn, cotton balls, KGD, rayon, combinations of the above, etc) I can almost do it with my eyes closed.

I would imagine tucking the wicking inside the chamber may help flavor? Only because it reduces the overall chamber size? But I didn't perceive any flavor increase or change. It Vapes as well as before and seems to be wicking ok too. :)

Oh, one way I was building my Taifun gt2 was this... Got a piece of mesh rolled around a approximately 1mm screwdriver, so it's hollow in the center, length is flush across the chamber or just a TAD longer, wrapped the mesh with KGD (with the screwdriver still inside) then thread that thru the coil, it's easier than it sounds because the mesh gets pushed by the handle of the screwdriver.

Pull out the driver, cut the cotton, make sure the mesh hole is opened and visible to the juice side... It keeps Juice in the center of the mesh, saturates the cotton, and it vaped well. Never had any wicking issued even with thick VG juices.

I only stopped doing it because, again, I didn't feel it was any "better" than the other way, and the other way took seconds not minutes. ;)

Ignore all the medication, it's not fun being older.

This one is built like a flash e vapor, coil is really high, no pillows under the wick in those juice wells, just 1 fluffy wick in a 3mm twisted 28g (x2) 316L stainless coil. It's like 0.60 ohms at 5 wraps... It's so springy who knows what the ID really ended up being. I'm using short mesh wicking tubes that are hollow and being pushed back by the cotton wick... So far not a problem. :D

I'm using the jaquith v3.25 csv file from the Evolv forum... But I have to admit I'm not impressed with the stainless at this point. 28g was probably not the right size to buy, maybe needed a lower gauge because 28g ss has similar resistance to nichrome (I read) and most of my Coils end up higher in resistance than I would expect.

In straight power mode it's probably fine, but TC doesn't seem to work properly for me...YMMV. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I dunno. I hated ni200 initially, now I prefer it.....
