What does that mean? Shorted then unshorted

I'm curious about the bellus, I wanted to get a couple for friends based on the aromamizer. Read both good and bad.
It was my first build, just received it today. One of the coils was against the wall of the chamber when I first tried it. I really like it so far

I bought the last 3 Tobeco TGT2's at Kanvape, well my friend did with my assistance.

I guess you liked them, even with their minor issues. i've got 6 or more gt2 and 3 or 4 gt1....I'm good :)
I want to slot the lower airflow holes on my gsl, Ive got the gs2 (hot cig) coming... I like the gsl a lot so far... and I know (think) if it had more air from the bottom it would be even better.

Thanks for the info, I have never ordered from focalcig. Is thier shipping to U.S. worth it for a 5 dollar item? Wish fastec had them.

That is up to you, the tanks I linked are uncommon, and they are the only source I've seen, all the other glass available are thick walled, and as DWcraig mentioned can restrict juice flow. I've not had any issues with Focal, other then they are pretty slow on shipping. I've not bothered getting spares, If I remember and they still have them I'll grab some my next order. Not too concerned. Plenty of other options around, though FT has been discontinuing many of them.

Really unless you fumble and drop one while cleaning or are pretty tough on gear you'll probably not break one, all the Taifuns I have with glass have the tanks pretty well protected. This does somewhat conflict with my norm, typically if I don't have a spare I end up breaking them, If I get a few spares I never seem to break any.

I fixed up one of my Tobeco TGT2's and give it to my friend that bought the last three. Worked well just as expected , that's with the wick tails inside the chamber. I will be doing them all that way from now on, mainly because I'm lazy but it works just as well or better than the old way.

The only damage I ever did to a taifun gt1 was melt a tank with acidic juice.. Can't remember which juice now...

The gt2 feel tight now compared to what I've been using (GSL, crown and aromamizer) playing with the gt2 feels like drinking a milkshake thru a swizzle stick now.

I'm not sure how this will work. Or why it would be needed.

I need a little wicking help with the GSL... I'm using mesh tubes wrapped on a blue screwdriver, whatever diameter those are (1.5mm? 2mm?) not sure... The tubes are wrapped maybe 3 times around give or take, so much much mesh (think mesh straw but short). They are short but they do direct make contact with the wick. In fact the cotton wick pushes back on the mesh a little.

I can see the juice level go down, but when I pop the top and look at the wicks, they are damp not dripping wet. Like it's vaping the last remnants of juice.

I leave the lower air open fully (which I slotted btw) and the top (3 slot) air flow from 2 to 3 open holes (on each of the 3 slots).

I'm not sure if I'm lacking a vacuum/pressure to help feed liquid down thru the mesh in to the wick, not sure if mesh is the wrong bottleneck? I've never used the tubes yet, seemed like mesh was a better idea since the mesh itself can also feed juice. Besides what else can I really use mesh for nowadays?

Right now I'm running a 28g ni200 coil, 3mm, 5 or 6 wraps (can't remember) coming to 0.10ohm.

The wick is very long and has been tucked/rolled under each side to fill the juice wells in the deck.

I'm using KGD, puff or muji (not sure which but it is a Japanese cotton)

I verified the mesh holes are still open and there, they have not collapsed or tightened or rolled back on (inside) themselves.

The tops of the mesh are flush with the top chamber cap (if that matters), though I did kind of flare out the upper flush edges of the mesh to keep from pushing down into the chamber itself. Though they easily push back from the wick pressure. So they are not super insane tight in that cap.

The juice is a DIY 70vg and 30pg.

The coil is set low, close to the lower air outlet in the center.

And the last thing I can say is the wick is not 100% straight across in the coil, otherwise one side of the wick covers one of the 4 upper air vented holes, so I move that wick over enough not to block those air channels. Otherwise I get a little slurping sound, when that happens I blow thru the mouth piece to clear those holes that obviously has a little juice in them. Then the slurping goes away for a while.

This is the Shen Ray version from focal.

Any help?

I guess your complaint is not wicking well enough.
The blue screw drivers are 2 mm. That's the size that I make mine also. my tube extend to the bottom and barely stick out on top. Mesh, tubes, are just tubes. It shouldn't matter which that you use.
I suggest you try 70PG/30VG and see how that goes. (assuming you DIY your juice)
I mount my coils at an angle like the old Kayfun style, be careful that when the wick makes the bend to go down that it isn't twisted.
I really can't advise much on using a thicker juice because I don't use it in the Taifuns

EDIT: I would say my coil is 1.5 mm above the air pipe sticking up in the deck's center.

70pg? Man that's thin juice. Yeah I DIY some, buy others...depends on the juice.

When you say the mesh tubes goes all the way down, like down to the bottom of the Wells? So mine just touching and pushing on the wicks may not be long enough?

My wick is an "S" shape, goes down on one side of the well and lays across the bottom of the entire well. The mesh tube sits on/in the tail

My tubes would be at about 12 and 6 o'clock in the first picture going the whole way down to the wicks tail at the bottom of the well. If it doesn't sit in the tail I can expect leakage.

@dwcraig1 what did you buy on your latest spree? :)

As for Focalecig, sometimes they ship out to almost immediately, and other times they are pretty slow. I've gotten things 7 days from the time I ordered or 3.5 weeks after I ordered. I suspect sometimes the item is not in stock, but the website doesn't tell you that. I like them though, and they are a pretty small business compared to FT so I order knowing it might be awhile. They do often have some of the better clones and mods, or things that FT doesn't get.

I used to think they were indestructible, till last week, when afriends dog jumped on me and one fell out of my shirt pocket in the driveway and cracked. The other incident was my fault, drinking afew beers and sat on the tile floor with it in my back pocket. I now think I should have some spares for future. Although my GT 1 stainles tanks seem to be working fine on the GT II s , I just have to remember to fill them every couple days or at least check them. These GT II s are perfect for me, fill every couple days, great flavor, only rewick every couple weeks and recoil every 3-6 months. How easy and carefree my vape lifestyle has become. Thanks for all the info here people, I am forever gratefull. I now have 16 various Taifuns for me and my daughter and friends, and I think I am ready for what may come.

I have had the exact same experience with Focalecig. A great company to deal with except for knowing when your order is going to ship. 3FVape is very similar to Focal, one does appreciate the Fasttech live inventory system.

Well my new Tobeco clone TGT2 has been amazing so far. I did the best I could with a coil and wick setup. That is something I definitely need to keep playing with, but it is working great and the taste and production are great.
Is your positive post lower than the negative on yours, it is on both of mine?
