HNY to all.
That fuzzy picture is of my favourite atomiser and is assembled from TGT2 spares & bits from FT.
The flavour and air flow is perfect for mouth to lung. TC works flawlessly with the Evic VTC Mini.
BUT:
I'm getting old and bored with tank filling, wicking and coiing.
So I bought a UD Bellus to use with a single coil in the hope it would make filling etc. easier (which it does) but without losing the flavour (sadly, that bit didn't work out as the air hits the coil from the side rather than underneath - which I've never found to give top-notch flavour). And the Bellus is noisy on the draw too. (Nonetheless, I'd say the Bellus was good if I didn't know what excellent was.)

I'm still playing with the Bellus but I suspect I'll still be looking for a replacement for my TGT2 in 2017!

No! I don't want to buy more new tanks! I really wanted the uber, then the hurricane, got the GSL & gs2, now the fev? Cmon!

You know what I'm gonna say already? Don't you? [emoji23]
PG..how was the Uber..I have two in my FT shopping basket waiting for me to charge my credit card and pull the trigger

I never got them... I wanted it but decided it was too much like the gt2. Same for the hurricane, same tanks imho. I did get the GSL and gs2, and so far i like the GSL more than the gs2.

I built the GSL and gs2 identical one night, filled with same juice, same wire, same wick, same afc adjustments and in my opinion the GSL gave me better flavor, while the gs2 is a tad more open air flow so more vapor clouds but flavor wasn't as good to me.

The most recent tank acquisition for have been the aromamizer, GSL, gs2, gt2 and k4.... I've used some of more "off the shelf" type too like subtank mini, zephyrus, lemo 2...not very impressed with those in comparison to the others.

The aromamizer is an excellent tank if you like HUGE air flow, and can produce huge clouds (if that's your thing). Flavor is good when built right but I never could get it leak proof when on its side (ie: in the car as an example).. Up right no leaks, sideways leaks 75% of the time.

GSL & gs2 are amazing atomizers, the wicking tubes take a bit of trial and error (at least with mesh for me) to get right, but when it works and wicks the vape is really really nice. And with 2 independent sets of afc you can get the exact air flow you want and how you want it. I'm really impressed with mine. They've been in rotation almost exclusively since I got them (GSL & gs2)

The gt2 was my goto tank got months and months, period.

The kayfun 4 I tried to love, I just didn't. I loved my other kayfun's back in the day, and the k4 isn't a bad tank, I think the way I vape NOW the k4 isn't made for me. if your a MTL vaper, it's ok. I like more air now... But I think the aromamizer is too much air. (if that makes sense)

Oh and I got a gem clone... Man am I glad I didn't splurge on the authentic one of those. The gem is interesting. Gorgeous small 21mm tank, looks so awesome hybrid on my wae2, teeny tiny build deck and coil area, think a miniature squape Reloaded (and I mean miniature) anything bigger than 28g probably wouldn't fit in the coil well. About 6 to 8 wraps is all you can fit depending on 28g-30g, around 2.4mm bit of the well period (ymmv). Flavor is good but airflow on mine was so tight it was like drinking a thick milkshake thru a swizzle stick. I took mine apart and increased air flow by a fair amount and now it's about the same as a kayfun lite or maybe a kayfun 4...but still feels tight compared to a gt2 or gs#.

Other than that I've tried to control my tank buying. I've bought so many tanks that have been retired or simply ignored shortly after buying, I feel it's a complete waste of money and time. Buying is like this addiction.... Must have must have must have.... Then get it and it's like... Meh... Another $30 down the tubes.

So here's my first post of the new year (in this thread), I received my Flash E Vape v3 and built it with the wick on top of the screws using very short mesh feeder tubes, it works pretty good.
So I decide to build a GS2-22 the same way, pretty good but not as good as my regular way.

I'm going to shorten the posts on the GS2 when I get home in the morning, I'm thinking the coil is too far from the air outlet.

I have some leakage occurring with my old method (more like light seepage) and the FEV method hasn't even thought about leaking.

Edit: Still at work, it is now working just dandy, no adjustments made.

Can someone please chime-in and tell me which is more popular, the Kayfun 3.1, or the Kayfun 4 (the clones) I am trying to decide which of these two RBT's I should purchase for the vapocalypes box... Any help would be appreciated. The Taifuns are a bit too pricey for me, so, I need to limit myself to the 3.1 or the v4, as for Kayfuns... ANY help is appreciated. (I currently have a website loaded with both, at the best prices I've ever seen) THANK YOU, for ANY help!

If anyone is interested in a GS1 clone VaporBank has them on clearance. These are 1:1

Taifun Gs Rebuildable Atomizer - Hcigar Clone: Vapor Bank - Evansville, Indiana E-Cigarette Store
$7.99

I still have a few of these NIP, bought 21 of them from Dimitri's store for $5 each on closeout a few months back. gave some away, kept some for the tanks, If anyone wants to try one for the cost of shipping I could probably be easily persuaded. Don't need them all

And if anyone ever needs a replacement for the plastic tank hit me up, after years of searching, Gearbest stocked them, then when they were clearing them out I bought 70 for about $5.00 to my door  that was payback for all that time I looked in frustration for reasonably priced replacements :pervy:

Not a bad little tank is you don't mind the stiff draw.

Grab a few of these for $3.99 each, but don't wait to long, its probably limited time purchase, and they'll probably go pretty fast. Also check out the rest of the closeouts, they had some cheap mechs, Hcigar DNA 20 mini box for $9.99, and a bunch of other cheap stuff.

Go with the KF4 Tobeco clone, HCigar 3.1 is alright as well, but I personally never really liked the 3.1, airflow is quite tight, and leaves no room to grow. The Tobeco is a decent clone of the KF4, probably the best, and for that price it is a no brainer.

Just grab quick, I already posted that link in the KF4 thread a day or so ago. I'm surprised they still have them TBH, but they did have 150 of them for that price.

Edit: looks like they still have 27 of them left, better grab quick.....

As I said, surprised they've lasted this long. I wasn't greedy, only ordered 2 more, 10 should be enough, Ordered a Copper Fogger (more to look at) a few other obscure atties, 4S kits, parts kits, spare tanks, 10 mechs. pretty good haul for under $60..

And here I thought December was an expensive month, 4 birthdays, Xmas

This month has been hell for Vape gear, some really good sales from way to many places! My poor mailman is gonna need to get a bigger car for my deliveries this coming week

YOU'VE BLOWN MY SPOT!!! OH MY GOD, NOW I REALLY HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE!!!

I think im going with the 3.1's because i happen to LIKE tight airflow, I'm a tooty-poofer!!
THAT'S IT! I'm PULLING THE TRIGGER ON THE 3.1's!!

For the price I'd grab at least one of the KF4, you can tighten the draw right up, or open it, its a great tootlepuffer atty....

I've got a couple with 4S kits, made it more to my liking, going to do the rest of mine with them as well when my package gets here!

ha-ha, nice haul... when I informed my mom of this insane sale, she gave me 30 credit. i grabbed 2 aquas, 2 of those 0.19 cent mods, two of the K100s for 99 cents, and I grabbed a couple plume veil RDAs. but NOW I'm going to buy a couple Kfuns w/my maxed-out creditcard, without her knowing.... (shhhh) but i'm struggling to figure-out which version i'd like better, the 3.1 or the 4.

Whats the difference in build types? I only see two wick-channels in the 4, vs the 4 wick channels in the 3.1?
I also saw that you can rebuild the 4 without dumping out your liquid, can you do that with the 3.1 as-well?

Only way to rebuild the 3.1 without draining it is if you have a Kayfil tool, which are fairly obscure. it only has 2 smallish wick channels. I've had issues with conductivity due to the threaded on base, it needs to be very tight, and very clean, slight oxidation can build up, and cause issues. also a PITA to fill. For Temp limiting builds the KF4 can be a bit annoying, but so can a 3.1

The KF4, 4 smallish holes in the deck for juice channels, can access the build deck without draining, fairly easy top fill.

Of the two the KF4 wicks better, especially with thicker liquids. The 3.1 will wick OK, but is much more sensitive to builds.

The 3.1 is plastic or SS tank, the KF4 is Glass or SS tank.
