well, finally got around to building my GSL the day after Christmas. First try was a hit, used the bunny ears method. Went to refill the tank (I had only partially filled it due to being unsure) and took it apart at the wrong section undoing the wick. Put it all back together using same wick and did not go right. Turned my back for a minute and all the juice leaked out (luckily not on a mod)
Today I tried to build it using the mesh straws and no go there too. I am going to try the bunny ears again tomorrow and see if that works for me.
Is there supposed to be an o-ring inside the tank where the plastic meets the metal? Or just the ones that seals it to top cap?

On the GS 1 that could be done quite easily (turning the tubes in the wick) but not to often with GS2's but I did it once.

I just got up and only started to drink my coffee but I'm not understanding the "plastic" part. There is an o-ring at each end of the glass (if it's glass).
there you are...yes that is what I meant-only in mine it is plastic and not glass

well then how do you build yours? If it was already talked about I apologize. I do not retain any of the info until I have the device

There is an Oring at each end of the glass/plastic on mine. That was not the problem there. I figured out what I was doing wrong (I had moved the oring to the outer part of the top cap instead of in further)
then I wondered why I could see it when it was all screwed together and set up

When you build the GS using either mesh, or the PTFE straws make sure the tubes do not push to far into the wick you want them to just lightly contact your wick without pushing it down too much. If the straws push to far into wick tails it can both cause dry hits, and flooding, depending how far you go with them. With Flash type wicking where you have a solid surface under the wick media it can pinch and dry hit. When your wick tails are free-air if you push them in to far you will end up flooding the chamber.

what is the best way to build the darn thing then? The bunny ears worked but seems like you would have to add a new wick any time you re-filled. I need a very small crochet needle, the kind with the little hook on the end, to pull a few strands of cotton up into the holes after putting the chamber cap on

The upper part of the upper AC ring seems to share the o-ring with the bottom of the tank. It really needs to just seal the bottom of the tank though. The cloner's did a poor job of getting that part right.
OK so there is only one there and it is partially hidden. seems like I remember you posting this before but it did not set in because I had not experienced it hands on

You should be able to just invert, unscrew the tank, fill it screw it back on and start vaping again. I do this all the time and putting the tank back on does not disturb the bunny ear feeder wicks. That is on a GSII not a GSL but it should be the same.

My Hotcig v3 FEV should arrive tomorrow (kind of seems like Taifun got some of their ideas from it for the GS2 maybe)
Nice, hope you like it!

The FeV V3 is a daily driver for me and the FeV VS is a great 17mm version on par with the flavor of the GS II.

No! I don't want to buy more new tanks! I really wanted the uber, then the hurricane, got the GSL & gs2, now the fev? Cmon!

You know what I'm gonna say already? Don't you? [emoji23]

I have to admit I like the FT base + acrylic tank set up better than the Tobeco clones I got from Kanvape. (talking TG2's) The draw seems tighter and I do not like that the chamber cap does not push down farther. The fact that I cannot add an acrylic tank bothers me because the darn thing is too tall. It looks impressive as can be on my Eye though
As far as the GSL, I am a complete fail on that. Putting it away for another day and going back to what I know (and love)
I ordered 4 more base only from FT

IMHO the problem with the GSL and the GS2 is the deep juice wells, which are good for dripping but not for wicking with straws or tubes. My solution was to eliminate the wells by filling them with aluminum foil. You could use anything but that's what I had handy. Three months later, it's still working with no dry hits or flooding. I posted a pic earlier 9/27/2015 post#3566. Give it a try!
