It looks as though my FT base is going to make it here faster than my order from Germany.
Are you guys lubing your o-rings with juice during reassembly?
Well not the case I guess, I know it didn't but the tracking shows Germany to San Diego with no scans in between.
My FT base has made it through L.A. Customs and P.O. so my Trident Killer is almost here.

That chamber cap oring probably isn't essential if the cap is screwed on tight. I also bought the spare parts kit when I got my authentic TGT, but I have yet to replace any orings. When I seen FT offering a bunch of different size silicone orings for $1-$2 a size for 20 orings, I ordered one pack of each size for times like that.

I am looking to try out and purchase a Taifun GT. I strictly use Kayfuns at the moment and want to try something a little different.

Since i am not 100% sure i will like it, I am looking to purchase a clone at first and if the Taifun is to my liking i plan on grabbing a authentic one.

I am either buying one off of Ebay or hunting down a U.S. retailer that has the clone in stock.

Can someone comment on which clone of the Taifun GT is the best? Is there something i should look out for? Can anyone recommend which Ebay seller has the best clone or which U.S. store?

Thanks

Your choice of clone or authentic is yours alone, but I would recommend authentic. Being a kayfun user too, the GT is right in line with the vape experience. I prefer my GT over my Kayfuns TBH.

The bright side? If you purchase the GT and don't like it, it will sell quickly in the classies. Especially if I'm looking ;)

Well i normally always buy authentic stuff but the past 2 items i have bought ( one item being the SQuape ) i did not like them, even though they had awesome reviews and claimed they were just as good, If not better then the Kayfuns, They weren't to my liking.

I figured buying a clone to try it out to see if its to my liking would be a good idea and then if i do end up liking it, Buying the real thing. I actually think its a good way to approach high prices items like the Taifun.

I just want to know who offers the best clone so that i can get the best experience or close to experience of the real thing.

Vapor Logic Boutique is the domestic Taifun dealer. I believe their site is scheduled to be up 1/18.

As for clones....The clone with the ® on the box is suposed to be better quality and come with some spare parts. I can't verify this as I only have the FT clone.

sounds good ;) i'm making headway with the build but would rather have the xs set up for the taifun - so much so that i've been contemplating and experimenting in getting the smaller tank from the russian to work with the taifun  - threading works just fine :D

I'm surprised that I figured it out before someone told me, well it is kind of early. I was bothered by my resistance of 0.63 ohm, I thought maybe the base had HR so I checked across the posts with my meter and got the same reading. The problem lies in that I used 28 gauge nichrome instead of 26, DUH, anyway I'll try it first before I change it.
I shall now edit my previous post

I'm up now, work nights, changed the coils to 26 gauge, going out looking for the mailman

TGT would not fire for my wire last night. I thought it was wicking issues as it's Gorilla Juice and I haven't changed the wick in 4 days. Turns out, enough juice seeped out of the center pin that it was giving me an OPEN circuit on my Provari. I rewicked and gave the screw a half turn to lengthen it.

Doesn't seem like I truly addressed the issue, but it was firing nonetheless

I don't think it had anything to do with the wick or the juice seeping. I think you did actually address the issue by giving the screw a half turn to lengthen it.

I'm glad you brought that up! :) My wife's TGT... Every few days she needs to back out that screw to get the connection. Has anybody added an o-ring or washer under this screw to keep it from getting screwed  back in during use?

Are these clones?

I have had this issue with both of my clones, but not the authentic.

Kind of depends on your mod and what supplies you have on hand.

But I fixed both from leaking using two different methods.

- For one I just added the o-ring from the other one to the 510 center screw.

- The other one I replaced the countersunk screw and o-ring with a dome head screw and screwed it tight to the insulator. Yes making it non-adjustable.

I just got my parts from Smoker Store. I immediately swapped out the connector pin/spring and tiny o-ring from my Clone to the authentic.

Spring is slightly longer and makes it pretty hard to screw in, but once in, its solid, and I no longer have a "floating" resistance. No more 9.9ohm - Low Load messages, screw it down and it works.
