So I recoiled and re-wicked last night and that took the whistling and wheezing away for about half the tank. Then it started again. At least now I know that it's the wicking that's making it whistle and wheeze. Then I changed the cotton from Japanese to rayon... Now I get a lot of dry burnt hits plus whistling and wheezing lol. I also think I'm gonna dremel out the side slits a little more to help with the wicking. The clone I got from angelcigs is an Ivogo clone so I'm gonna pick up some o-rings as well cause the ones it came with are horrible, especially the o-ring at the base of the inner sleeve. You'll get that clicking sound to know you've pulled it up enough but it is really loose at that point and spins when you screw the tank on. I'm also gonna play with the height of the coil to see if that helps with the airflow. I might have it down too far. And last, I'm not sure if I'm getting dry/burnt hits because my could resistance is too low (0.5 ohms). When this thing hits good, It is a BEAST!!! But when it doesn't... It hurts lol. After I get this thing working like a champ, I'm getting a Kayfun 3.1. [emoji16] ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414477120.818687.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1414477205.810095.jpg

Since using the Tiafuns for the last couple of weeks and getting use to the stock draw. I can't stand vaping the kayfuns anymore. There to airy for me now. I remember everyone complaining that the KFLs were to tight of a draw. I never thought so but ran them wide open. Now I just can't stand to vape off them anymore. I guess I'll clean them out and keep them around for a while just in case I change my mind but might be looking to get rid of them soon. It's weird! They used to be the best!!!

I vape with all different types of draws. From the Rose and kayfun which are pretty tight to major cloud drippers that I lung hit. I guess I like variety :)

Same thing happened to me. I like all kinds of draws myself, as long as it's from a Taifun GT, which I rotate many each day.

I found it took a while but the two I have vape great ! Great flavor and a good hit. Just take a slow long draw and all is good! Plenty of cloud and flavor!!!:) not a dry hit at all. Unlike the KFL+ and V2 or R91s it's like the flavor is consecrated with the TFGT imho!

Hey Bill! Did you ever get that P3 you were looking for? I love mine!

Waiting for Provape to release online sales. I don't support my local vape shops. Of the 20 or so I've been in, they are about 4 times the online price, and most look like a Fasttech catalog. There may be one on the other side of town that carries nice gear, but pricing....Holy Smokes! So, I will be patient for Provape. Ciao!

I, too, have quit using local B & M's, Bill. In addition to your experience, I find that I am also more knowledgeable and that is frightening.
I don't know for certain what these people were sell before opening the vape shop but I can make some rather educated guesses.

Yeah, it's not like an ECF thread/forum, for sure. Other than big clouds, not a lot of knowledge, has been my experience.

All the taifuns are gone from fasttech. I assume there has been another copyright infringement suit. Even the SS tank (with logo) is gone. I hope that logoless ones come out soon. I almost ordered another one last night but decided to first try out the Erlkoenigen clone that is coming soon. The GT (fasttech B type) is my current favorite atomizer. The rose V2 comes in a close second but mounting/wicking the coil is a pain and the 2.7ml volume is very low.
If anyone has any links to what has happened to the taifun clones please let us know. I hope to be able to continue to buy them.

I copied and pasted this from the FT forum:
"Looks to me like the Taifun maker went and cried to mommy (Paypal). No other way a Chinese company would bat an eye at copyright infringement claims. I suspect we'll see the Taifuns back soon enough but without the logos. Meanwhile, I ordered 2 more using the reorder feature."

Some are saying that you can still use re-order feature but can not pay with Paypal, others said they re-ordered and paid with Paypal.
Expect to see logo-less ones soon.

I just re-ordered one from FT with PayPal. Worked fine, so far.

Quick question guys. Forgive me because these may be stupid questions, but I am just starting out rebuilding. I have read most of the thread, but I cannot keep my TGT from gurgling and then leaking out of the air hole. It is a hcigar clone. I am new to rebuildables so I had the shop do the first build while I watched and learned. The tank was rocking it at first, but then I started to get dry hits later that night so I rewicked it. Sure enough the cotton was burnt. I was using a SVD at about 11-14 watts. They built a 2.4 ohm coil. Obvously it was hot in there so I guess I need to turn the power down some. After I rewicked it again it was rocking the flavor, but this morning on the way to work it started leaking and I could not get it to stop. I had to replace an o-ring on the deck last night because it got a little messed up. I am thinking my wick was a little too small and that caused the leaking, but why did it wait until I left for work this morning.

Could I be filling it wrong? I feel it from the bottom and then turn it over once the base is screwed back on completely. I really want to get this tank up and going consistently because I have a rDNA 40 coming. Really want to take advantage of the extra power compared to my SVD and Istick. I was also going to get a Russian 91% because of the way the TGT was vaping. Once I rewick it I will try and post a picture to help.

If you have the coil sitting to close down towards the air hole could cause leaking out the outer air hole and it would take a little time for it to build up before the leaking starts.
